Instead of writing all the cliches (“friendly staff”, “great service”, “food was delicious”, etc. which are all very true here, by the way) or detailing the times we’ve driven right by another Italian restaurant in order to get to Tutto Fresco, or how we’ve never been disappointed in ANYTHING to come out of their kitchen including the salads I’ll share my experience today with their food truck at the MD Italian Food Festival. I was initially skeptical…sometimes a good establishment’s mobile endeavors are lacking in either service, price, portion, quality, or some combination of all of the above. Soooo not the case with Tutto Fresco! Their still super-friendly staff were serving a Drunken Chicken Parm sub for $15 (vodka sauce instead of marinara) that I tried to walk by once but couldn’t do it a second time. My only regret is not buying a second sandwich for later. The vodka sauce was perfect, my favorite thing about it, and I hope the Tutto Fresco staff will be cool with me ordering chicken parm that way from now on. The chicken cutlet was cooked spot on…very crispy and deliciously seasoned outside and the juiciest chicken breast inside. I’m admittedly a cheese lover, but I think some restaurants throw cheese and bacon at things to hide the underwhelming taste or texture of what’s beneath them. The imported provolone was also on the money…melted just right, a healthy amount, but not so much as to take away from everything else. And I’m not 100% sure what kind of sub roll they used but along with their vodka sauce, cheese, and chicken cutlet, this sandwich was chef’s kiss absolute fire!
I’m so glad they’re 15 min down the road from me, but I’d drive 3-4 times as far for the food and service at...
Read moreFirst let me say the Restaurant was very stylish and clean. The best part of the meal.was the waiter.he was very efficient , Honest and friendly. (WE DID LEAVE HIM A 25% TIP) The website advertised happy hour specials and daily specials, ( NOT TRUE) beer and wine. We went to dine on a Wednesday and the advertised special was 50% off appetizers. I was excited to read this...I like to try a variety of apps. The waiter said they no longer had that special nor did they have beer or wine.new owners ; waiting on liquor liscense. That's understandable but misleading. They should UPDATE THE MENU AND WEBSITE.! WE ORDERED GARLIC KNOTS. NO TASTE OF GARLIC JUST PIZZA DOUGH. BUT IT WAS FRESH. LOL. WE ALSO ORDERED CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP AND CREAM OF CRAB. BOTH EXCELLENT! MY ENTREE WAS EGGPLANT PARMESAN. ABSOLUTELY TASTELESS EGGPLANT AND WATERY. THE BIG DISSAPOINTMENT WAS THAT FOR IT BEING ITALIAN CUISINE. THE SAUCE WAS NO BETTER THAN PASTE OR PIZZA SAUCE NO GARLIC NO SEASONING. I SHOWED THE MANAGER WHO WAS POLITE AND SAID HE WOULD SPEAK TO THE CHEF....MY FRIEND ORDERED CHEESEBURGER SUB AND FRIES. EDIBLE BUT PATTIES WERE OF COURSE FROZEN AND TASTELESS FRIES CAME IN ABUNDANCE BUT COLD...IF IT WERENT FOR THE SOUPS OR THE WAITER I WOULD HAVE NOT HAVE GIVEN ANY STARS. VERY DISSAPOINTING! ,I HOPE THEY GET IT TOGETHER THERE. I HEARD THE TABLE BEHIND ME COMPLAINING AND SAYING THEY WOULDNT BE BACK SAYING NEW MANAGEMENT NEEDS A NEW COOK. ..THEY NEED MORE THAN THAT. SAD TO SAY ,WE CAME FROM JOPPA TO EAT THERE IN SEARCH OF GOOD ITALIAN FOOD. DIDNT FIND IT THERE. I WISH THE OWNERS GOOD LUCK AND FUTURE SUCCESS IN THIS ECONOMY. YOU NEED TO STAND OUT OR YOU WONT BE STANDING FOR...
Read moreIf you are getting carry out and you want the best Italian food in the Forest Hill/ Bel-Air North Area oh, this is the best Italian restaurant in the area. The only thing I can say that is negative is that the restaurant itself is very small because it used to be a 7-Eleven. Dining in at a real Italian restaurant though is supposed to be a very family oriented experience and you are supposed to feel like you are the only people there being served and treated like kings and queens. Also, they have the best cannoli I have had definitely in this area and in a very long time. I highly recommend their Pizza pasta, bruschetta and many other things. My girlfriend is from New Jersey which is almost the capital of Italian food in America and even says that this place is just as good or better than most of the places and that New Jersey downtown area. Props to the Cook and his ingredients , and props to whoever is running this place, but like I said before, it is small if you are dining in , so if they expand the building itself and expand as far as more restaurants in the area and branching out further, which I think they are planning on doing, this place will be off the charts which it already is. It will just make it that much better, well-known, and will succeed financially which is the point obviously. Definitely five stars definitely recommend going if you are looking for Italian food in the Forest Hill / Bel...
