Bel Air Pizzeria — Restaurant in Maryland

I've been going to Red Pump Cafe for a few months with nothing but good experiences. But just within my last two experiences I have decided that the owner is a lying disgusting greedy a**. I ordered a dinner for two a few days ago, they didn't give me a estimate of how long it would take to get here, I assumed about 30-40 minutes as they usually say any other time I call for delivery. BUT... It took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get to my house. I called the shop 3 times to ask where my food was, and every time I called, they gave me this phony story of why my food wasn't there... But, they said the food was on them and to not worry about the bill. Today, I was having a huge pizza craving. I called up to place a delivery order, the owner gave me the total for my 5 dollar pizza, and it came to 20 DOLLARS! I asked why that was, and he told her there was a 15 dollar delivery rate!!! They have delivered to my house many times. I was NOT going to pay that, and they lost a ton of business that they will...

Not great Gyros or fries. I went into BAP with average expectations. Most places that sell gyros nowadays take the lazy approach to making the meat. They buy it in pre-sliced, pre-cooked blocks that they throw on the grill and invariably overcook. A poor substitute for a gyro cone on a vertical rotisserie. It's really no different than using steakums rather than ribeye for making a cheesesteak sub. What's worse is that I specifically asked the boy working the front if they use pre sliced gyro meat or did they cut it off the cone on spit, to which he replied that it's cut off the spit. So I went ahead and ordered 2 gyros and 2 fries. When I opened the package at home I saw that the gyros were made pre sliced gyro loaf and we're of course overcooked. Although I didn't expect fresh hand cut french fries, what I did get was double dipped frozen french fries that were cooked in old oil. Have never had an issue with this place, ordered the tender platter. For chicken tender people, this place rocks. Top tier tenders and 5 of them of large size. Tonight disappointed real hard. I’m a big guy so you can see how 5 large tenders would appeal to me. Tonight they were literally nuggets. I added a small cut in half fry as well for scale next to the ranch. These things could not feed a 10 year old let alone a grown man. Also, I didn’t order the kids meal. I wanted to call and complain. Tell them come get their nuggets because I don’t want them. I’ve stared at these nuggets for 30 mins. But I’ve worked in delivery and feel bad they aren’t the idiots would dropped 5 nuggets in the fryer. Also I would be fine if they threw a couple extra in to compensate for the smaller ones. Just feel down right betrayed by what was one of my favorite spots. Will they see my business again? Probably.
