Vocelli Pizza — Restaurant in Maryland

What a terrible experience ordering delivery here. We have ordered before and always recommended to our friends however, after our experience today, I'm not sure we'll order from here again. Let me preface with saying that we knew ordering pizza on a Friday evening wouldn't be a quick delivery. We were not expecting a miracle Placed our order at 6:03p and got an email confirmation saying to expect our order within 45-55 minutes. Again, this was fine. It's Friday night and waiting up to an hour for pizza is normal. At this point, we're expecting to eat dinner by 7pm. At 7:30, pizza had not yet been delivered. We call to check the status of the order and are told that the driver is on his way. At 8:05, still no pizza. I call again and ask to speak to a manager (figured the young kids working up front might not have actually checked on the status of our order when we initially called). The person who answers me says they are the manager. I nicely start to explain how we ordered at 6 and called at 7:30 and before I can finish, I'm cut off with a rushed "what's your address?" followed by, "hold on one minute" ...no apology or acknowledgement of the fact that we've been waiting 2 hours for our order. The manager proceeds to tell me that they're busy but that our pizza will arrive soon. Again, no apology and no clarity on when exactly I should expect the pizza. I explain, again, that we've been waiting two hours and that a half hour prior, we were told the pizza would arrive soon. Then the manager tells me, "we're really busy and your pizza isn't even in the oven yet" TWO HOURS LATER. I asked for a refund and provided feedback to the manager that a phone call or follow up email to notify us of the delay would have been nice. I can emphasize with the restaurant being busy and possibly short staffed but the lack of communication and no apology for the inconvenience was a huge turn off. We have ordered from here on numerous occasions, super owl Sunday being one of them, and have never waited so long. I truly believe something was off for them today but if that was the case, manager should've stepped up and responded accordingly. Was also told I'd get a refund and I had to ask the manager if if get a confirmation via email. He said yes but I am still waiting. Never asked my name or how I paid. Here's hoping...

I tried to have my girlfriend call and order a pizza so I could pick it up. The employee that answered the phone refused to take payment over the phone and neglected to tell her that she could order online which we realized shortly after. When I arrived at the store to pick up our food the man who answered the phone a bit earlier just so happened to be the same person who was working the register, no biggie, oh well I thought until I noticed his arms. I'm sorry but to whoever owns or manages this place, how can you not see that this employee is actively using heroin???? I mean come on, this guy had open sores/wounds and or track marks on his hands and arms, he looked high as a kite almost like he was about to fall asleep standing there and worst of all he looked like a starving Ethiopian kid!!!!! The rest of the employees didn't look a whole lot better either and the attitudes they had and they way they spoke to each other and the language they used was unbelievable in front of customers!! No sense of order, two employees were arguing rather loud in plain sight of children and other customers!! I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!! I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO MAY BE THINKING ABOUT ORDERING FROM HERE, DONT DO IT!!! HANG UP THE PHONE, TURN AROUND AND GO TO LEDOS OR PAPA JOHNS JUST PLEASE DON'T GIVE THIS PLACE...

Waited over an hour for my pizza. Then i called to find out where it was and was informed that the driver was out on other deliveries and that he woukd be back soon. I asked what was going on then and she offered nothing to help other than "You should have your pizza soon." I asked if she was going to do anything for me. And she said "No im not going to do anything for soneone who is cussing at me." Admittedly i had told her "This is bullshit!" But not until being treated like crap. I have been a customer here for as long as they have been open....
