So the brand name Wawa evokes, hey fast food/delicious food, great service and somewhat affordable. Well not this past Memorial Day weekend 2020. Putting the order in is like everywhere else at a kiosk, that part is easy Peasy! I walked in on Said Friday evening, there were 5 wawa team members quite busy as it look like 6 people waiting for their order number to be called. So apparently they don’t start making the food you order until you pay. So I grabbed two other drinks and went to pay promptly. From the two customer rep checking everyone out to the team members in food service. The Guest Services experience was way below expectations. Now don’t get me wrong, from driving through NJ, you can familiarize yourself with a Wawa’s appeal. Even though you may encounter a team members having a bad day. Overall you can expect fast, efficient within a budget of affordability. encounter the same things some times but mostly Wawa team members are classier and when you wait patiently for 13 minutes for your food & smoothie to be made and still no #759, i then Remembered that I needed a cigar for later so I returned to buy that. After that I was wondering why hadn’t my number been called, I respectfully asked a staff member and they were like why are you wasting our time we called your number already and you’re smoothie was made 5 minutes ago. I must say, I was waiting the an owl prancing on its prey. It didn’t take me five minutes to get a cigar. In the service industry we live and die, not only by the quality of our products but by the reputation based off that experience that each guest has. Wawa is not Vapiannos in Downtown DC, if I want a rude experience I can head down there, but here’s hoping that maybe it was an isolated incidents. For $26.95, a turkey bowl, smoothie and two drinks. The only reason I gave this visit two stars was because the bowl...
Read moreJust had the worst time trying to buy one of their gift cards. Purchased a $25 gift card but was not given a receipt I asked for an activation code so I could be assured that the card was activated. Good thing I did because it had NOT been activated there was NO money on it. Image if I had given this card as the gift I had intended ! Cashier called for the "manager?" who said he had to charge my bank card AGAIN to have it activated. I showed him the receipt that clearly showed I had already been charged and I just wanted the gift card to be actived. Even showed him my bank account on my phone that it had been deducted. He refused and said he couldn't do it without charging my bank card again ! No way was I going to allow him to charge me AGAIN ! I feel robbed !
Update : Went back to speak to the store manager, Paul. Explained the situation and showed him the receipt. He promptly gave me a new & activated gift card. Had it done in less than a minute. The best surprise was that today I went to the store and the young man I had encountered that wanted to charge my bank card again remembered me and apologized for the misunderstanding ! Very mature thing for him to do ! I'm back in love...
Read moreThis Wawa Store needs some serious quality control check by its management. if you go there early morning 5am or even 5:30 or even 6am you won’t find breakfast sandwiches or what call the sizzling. I go this store often around 5:30-6am and never find the breakfast sandwiches, then i have to drive to another store to get some breakfast. such an inconvenience to keep hopping on different stores that early in the morning and to be able to get to work fighting traffic. This morning i went around 5:30am and no sandwiches there, when i asked one of the staff told me the most lame excuses u wanna hear from a supposedly full service 24/7 WAWA store , he told me “the person that makes the sandwiches is not working today” and i counted about 6 staffs there at that time. I don’t even know if they have a store manager, if they do have one i hope he will do his job managing his store or the corporate office would do some Quality...
