Updated review: Sadly, the second trip after our first successful trip turned out terrible. We waited approximately 20 to 25 minutes to get our food. It was like the old times there when everything was just awful. Our third visit back (wanted to give them another chance) I really wanted a salad but when we walked into the establishment, there were a couple of disgruntled customers waiting for their food and we asked them what’s going on and they said it’s awful here so we turned around and left and went to Arby’s, and the service was perfect and food good.
We wanted to try again. So we ordered a salad and a medium drink and my guy got the biggie bag with a drink and when we went to get our drinks, the soda wasn’t carbonated. So we went over and asked them to prepare a soda for us behind the counter and they said none of the machines carbonation is working and we can give you lemonade or orange juice. We’re both sugar-free diets and medication because of blood sugar so we said we can have that. I said we’ll take the food and just give us a refund on the drinks. She said please give me your card and she refunded our order. We just wanted the drinks refunded. So we were standing there with the ticket and we said are you gonna give us food and she very snippy said no we’re not giving you free food and we said well we just wanted to get the refund on the drinks not on the whole order and the young man who was waiting for us knew what we wanted, but the manager got so nasty with us That we just turned around and left. I’m thoroughly done with with this Wendy’s and we will never go back. We love the salads there but unfortunately, unfortunately with that type of customer service it’s just impossible for us to go back in there. Also, I said I wish you would’ve pointed out ahead of time that there was no carbonation in the soda. How can you drink a flat soda but we weren’t told before we ordered the drinks or this wouldn’t have happened. After leaving we went to Taco Bell on south Osborne rd. Perfect service. Very fast. Great food.
Our initial visit after they reopened: The newly refurbished Wendy’s rocks. After seeing a sign that said redecorated please stop in I decided to give them another chance. It was clean and bright. Soda machine with over 100 choices. Perfect fries, burgers and salads. Service with a smile....
Read moreThis was so disappointing!!! Ordered my food and paid but wasn't told there would be a wait for what I ordered until I get to the pick-up window (or else I wouldn't have ordered) . It is only THEN that I am told to pull into a parking spot because the delivery truck had just arrived and unloaded a shipment of fries they had been waiting on (not to mention this huge tractor trailer was partially blocking the drive-thru making it difficult to maneuver). OK cool whatever.. as I am sitting waiting in the parking lot there are several employees still in uniform off to the side smoking in a circle, entertaining non-employee friends who it appeared may have come to the restaurant parking lot just to hang out (not to mention the employees I encountered in the drive-thru seemed a little zoned out). Definitely unprofessional and it gave the restaurant such a bad look. Employee finally comes to the car with my food and says "Oh by the way we didn't have mushrooms to make your mushroom burger but here you go". REALLY.??!! I paid a premium for that Mushroom burger and now you tell me after I've been sitting in the parking lot for almost 10 min waiting on (season-less) fries that there are no mushrooms! It was after 11 PM and I did not feel comfortable getting out my car to go argue for my money back so I just took the L and went home to what was the saddest looking meal ever. This is the closest Wendy's to my house but I'm pretty sure I will be avoiding at ALL COSTS! Very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Please remind your employees that they are not at work to hang-out, they all looked young so lets remind them that professionalism starts at a young age, it often dictates...
Read moreMy husband and I were passing through Upper Marlboro when I began to have a diabetic episode that required sugar quickly. It was 10:26 pm when we entered the empty restaurant. The alarm on my sensor was going off. I sat at the table while my husband explained that we were going to order, but I needed juice, a frosty, a soda......SOMETHING/ANYTHING! The young man behind the counter had to ask 3 others how to work the POS system. I, stumbled to the counter to explain that my sugar had dropped to 56, and I was near passing out on their floor. The young man behind the register continued to have problems. Then left the front, went and got a broom and dustpan and went into the ladies room. My husband then approached a "Manager" - a young black man in a red shirt. He again explained we were having a medical emergency and needed sugar. He said "Why did you bring that in here?" He then got a frosty and gave it to my husband. I took that and was ushered to the door by my husband who unlocked our car with the remote so I could get in and not pass out in the empty Wendy's dining room. My husband went on to order a butter potato with sour cream, chili, a double hamburger, a soda, and the frosty that I had taken. No butter, no sour cream, a thin slice of white paper between the bun and burger. THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER in a fast food restaurant. BTW, my husband and I own a restaurant in Richmond, VA. At that time of night, our choices were limited from places to go. Thank God, there was a Sheetz not far with food that was worth paying for. Wendy's can't compete with a gas station for food. How dare your managers!! "Why did you bring that in here?" ...
