Yuki Sushi is one of a few sushi places I frequent but this time was different. I ordered two shrimp tempura rolls, one California roll and a spicy California roll with real crab meat and asked to have mango added to it. Get home only to find out the spicy real crabmeat California roll add mango wasn’t correct. Only had mango and crabmeat inside and it was missing the spicy sauce. I called to let them know one of my rolls was wrong. The young man who answered the phone was very pleasant and kind but the owner would not take accountability for the roll not being what I ordered. He insisted that the only way I could be refunded is if I brought the roll back. I explained that I was in the middle of cooking dinner and didn’t have time to bring it back. Not only that but they aren’t necessarily close to my house either. When I asked to speak to the owner he declined to speak with me saying he was “busy” and told the guy to tell me no refund if I don’t bring the food back. So not only was the food wrong to no fault of my own but he wanted me to waste gas to bring back the incorrect single roll. I even offered to send a picture of the roll so that he would know I was being truthful. Instead the owner via guy on the phone said he would pick the roll up from my house and then refund me (lol right). At that point I was over it and told them I wanted a full refund and they could have all the sushi back that I had ordered. The owner did not come, he sent the young man who answered the phone to do his dirty work. Again, he was very pleasant and kind. Now he has food he can’t sell, lost money having to refund me for all of the sushi instead of the one roll, and wasted his own gas to pick the sushi up. All this over a $7 California roll....
Read moreMy partner and I ordered delivery using the Yuki Sushi website. We have ordered from them before and generally agree that their food is okay. It's not exceptional, and there are a few dishes we avoid (my partner finds the awkward spice combination in the fried rice off-putting), but this time was uniquely miserable. We waited an hour and a half for our food before calling the restaurant to ask if they received our order. I work as a teacher, so I work hard to be polite and considerate to people who work in customer service. I understand how demanding and exhausting their jobs are. The gentleman who answered the phone was abrupt, which I took to mean he was busy. He said that he checked into the matter and that our food was not ready yet. I asked if he know how long it might be, and he said he would give me a call back. 10-15 minutes later, with no call back, I called again. He assured me that my food was on the way. This was also a lie. Our food had not yet been picked up, as confirmed by the driver who called 5 minutes after my discussion with the restaurant. At that time, he had not even picked up our food. It's been about two hours at this point and we're pretty hungry. If you're going to order from here, eat in or use Door Dash. Using their website is a recipe for frustration and...
Read moreDo you want a sushi restaurant where you feel like you can go and chill out in a relaxed environment with a TV in the background if there is a game on and have really good sushi with great happy hour prices? Well if that's your jam this is it. I am often surprised at how the restaurant seems to always have an open seat. I just spent $28 plus tip and I am stuffed. During happy hour you can get two rolls for 8.95 add a beer and a hand roll and some tax, $28. I can't tell you the last time I've gotten away with leaving a sushi restaurant for less than 40. And everything was really good you can tell this place does not skimp on quality the freshness the large cuts of the fish itself. You get way more than you pay for. And as I have seen mentioned in many other reviews the staff is awesome super friendly and willing to accommodate. So if you are in the area and trying to figure out where you want to go for sushi especially during happy hour this is absolutely the...
