We went to Red Robin for lunch today I would say around 12pm. It wasn't a long wait to be seated because it was slightly empty. Which was a good thing. After we were seated, we "saw" our waiter, who took our order. Unfortunately we just saw him because he did not greet us. We did not have the pleasure of being greeted by a waiter. Not a friendly "Hello, My name is ..., what could I get you?" Nope, nadda, nothing! He didn't even tell us his name. He rushed us to give him an order for our food, when we just clearly sat down and did not even have time to look up our drinks. You would think that by seeing two small children you would be kind, courteous, professional and patient. Nopppppppe, none of that mattered. Not even a greeting to the children came from this man. So when we put in a order for our drinks, the waiter came back. We started to drink our drinks, and proceed to order our food. The waiter never asked what bottomless sides we wanted with our burger. It was like he couldn't stand to spend two minutes with us to even care about what we would like to have. It's like we weren't customers, just annoying people who OWED him the WORLD. So I motioned for him to return and he said "oh, I thought you would just want fries" Ummm, no buddy. You really don't get paid to assume what someone else should have to eat/order. So once we were talking and still drinking, we noticed that our glasses were used and dirty with residue and a substance from a previous person's drink. When we asked another waiter to help us with this (because our waiter could care less about what we needed), she simply said "Oh, I don't know what you were drinking. This is strawberries." Thank you Sherlock Holmes, we could now tell that it was strawberries, but did you notice that it's from another customer's drink? How in the hell would I have strawberries in a glass that was only occupied by diet coke? No one at the table ordered anything with strawberries in it. We didn't even get an apology, pardon me, forgive me... Nothing, nadda, zilch, zip! Then to top it off, the waiter kept coming over to take our plates while we were still eating off of the plates. That was the last straw! Finally we asked one of the waitresses to give us his name.
Hopefully, you will get trainings in the future on professionalism and how to provide proper customer service.
Summary: Food was just ok. Broccoli still raw. Avocado not fresh. Customer service,...
Read moreAlways have issues when we come here, but tonight was the final straw. At first no server was assigned to our table so we had to sit around for a while waiting for that to be sorted out. The server that we were finally assigned was perfectly good, but when it came time to pay the kitchen manager rejected a $5 coupon we had on the basis that it was issued by another location, so he would not use his budget to cover other locations coupons. Nothing in the fine print said that the coupon was only valid at the issuing location, which he confirmed to us, but told us he didnt care because it wasn't his fault. When I told him that it seemed absurd to worry about $5 FR his budget to the point of instead losing all future business from the four customers at the table, he again told us that he did not care and it wasn't his fault. We asked for the corporate number to file a complaint and he walked off. We began to pay our split check on the Ziosk machine there when he suddenly showed back up telling us not to pay, saying that he was going to comp our check not because of the coupon (still insisting that he was in the right there) but because of the wait before being assigned a server. By this point the other half of our party had already paid their half of the check through the Ziosk machine. The kitchen manager said that he has absolutely no way to reverse this (i wonder if they can't reverse charges even if they are wrong) so instead he gave them a gift card for the exact amount, even though we had made it clear that none of us would ever be back.
His behavior tonight has cost the entire Red Robin company all future business from four regular customers. Again, this was the final incident in a string of poor service that goes back years at this location and others, but the fact that he would rather lose our business than honor a $5 coupon (and he told us that he makes a routine of refusing coupons FR other locations, citing an example the previous week), well, that makes it clear that the issues we have come down from management, and I'm not going to put myself through horrible let experiences stemming from managers who don't care and don't take responsibility. You shouldn't put yourself through it either. Pass on eating at this location, and you're probably better off staying away from the chain in general because we've had experiences al.ost as bad at their...
Read moreRed Robin use to be a great place to eat. Use to. It was the one place my Wife and I could take the kids every couple weeks and feel good about it. The atmosphere was good, the food was good, staff was good, the prices were good. But Red Robin is no longer any of that and hasn't been in quite some time. Was is a word I used a lot in that last sentence because it's simply true. Red Robin is no longer a quality place especially this location. This location has gone so far down hill it is no longer a place I will ever take my family. As time as gone by the quality of food and quality of service has disappeared. Every time we have been here lately the food seems to get worse, cold food one time, soggy food the next, orders coming out wrong, dirty utensils, hair on my food and the list can go on but I will stop at that. You ask for something with your order like extra mayo on the side and 9 out of 10 times they waitress will completely forget about it. Want a refill for your drink? Last time we were there the waitress disappeared and took 15 minutes to come back with our refills. Finish your french fries and want more, the waitress never came back to the table to even ask. Flagged another waitress who says they are busy with their own tables. All I asked was for her to get the waitress for me. Complained to the manager a few times on all the issues but the issues are never fixed. I don't go out and spend my money in exchange for just horrible service. Anyone thinking of going here save yourself the trouble and go...
