It was my first time visiting since the "remodel" going to dinner with a friend of mine. Upon entering I noticed the "remodel" and I use the term loosely - the bar looked nice. We requested a booth, the tables were the same uneven surface tables as my last visit quite some time ago. We decided to give this place another shot, despite my hesitation - after all first impressions can sometimes be wrong! Boy were they right, my burrito wasn't even rolled properly, spilling onto my plate. I ordered it smothered in queso, it arrived at my table falling apart honestly looking completely unappetizing. The chicken and steak in my burrito were completely flavorless, like they had just been cooked in some braising liquid and thats it. The "sour cream salad" was abysmal, chunky nasty avocados, huge chunks of tomato and lettuce that tasted like the chemicals they were washed in. My friend ordered a fajita quesadilla, that came with NO CHEESE on the inside but smothered in queso. I'm not sure if I missed the memo but I thought quesadillas had cheese on the inside but then again, I've only spent a decade in the food service industry. There was a reason I hadn't been here in years, poor service and disappointing food. Will not return, will...
Read moreBoy has this place gone downhill. We used to come here often but had a not so good DoorDash experience (food not good) so took a long hiatus from eating here. Went to the restaurant at 4:30pm on a Saturday and there was only one other couple at a table eating there. I was thinking immediately thatâs not a good sign as this place was always busy when we used to eat here a lot, especially pretty much dinner time on a Saturday night. The chips are thick and bland as can be and like another reviewer said the salsa tastes like tomato puree or sauce straight from the can. We also ordered a small queso and it was barely warm. I ordered the Marysville special which is random items like a chile relleno, tostada, a tamale, a chicken burrito of sorts, beef taco and I think a beef enchilada with a side of rice and beans (which I always give the rice and beans to the hubs). ALL the food was bland or just gross. Literally the only thing I finished was the chile relleno. So disappointed with the food. The server was nice and attentive which not surprised since we were one of 2 tables there. Tres Portillo and Crazy Burrito and heck even Taco Bell is 10x better food than here. Will not be...
Read moreAt Fiesta Grande, the fiesta was indeed grande, and the only "avo" I cared about was in the word "flavor"! I recently visited this lively establishment, and it was a fiesta for the senses.
The moment I walked in, the colorful decor hit me like a piñata explosion. It was like a kaleidoscope collided with a sombrero shop, and the result was a vibrant and lively atmosphere that was impossible to resist.
Now, let's taco 'bout the food. The tacos were so delicious that I considered applying for a "Taco Aficionado" diploma on the spot. Each bite was a flavor explosion that made me question all my life choices leading up to that moment.
The service was as friendly as a group of mariachi band members serenading you at your table. Our waiter was so accommodating that I half-expected him to offer us a piñata to hit while we waited for our food â but alas, he just brought us more chips and salsa.
In short, Fiesta Grande is a party for your taste buds, and the only thing "avo" of place is the avocado itself. So, grab your maracas, dust off your sombrero, and head on over to this culinary celebration. It's a fiesta you won't...
