Edit: changed rating to 5 stars! The issue was immediately fixed by the owner, who emailed me the next day after I posted this review. She gave me a refund for my previous visit and even fixed the online order tickets so the drinks say hot or iced. Thank you so much!
I love this place and usually stop by 3 to 5 times a week. I always usually order online on the Square app. Two times now, my drinks have been made wrong even though I placed my order correctly. I order one hot latte and one iced, and they made them both iced each time, even though the ticket on the drink said only one was iced. I even went back and checked my email receipt to make sure it wasn't me. Today, the girl kind of tried to blame me by saying that's how the order had come in, but I double checked my email and I did order correctly. Both times I did not have time to wait for replacements, and today I actually received a small iced drink when I had ordered both my drinks large, one hot and one iced like I said. Anyways, I think they should double check the tickets more when making online orders, or maybe make sure the hot option actually says hot on the ticket like the iced one does, to avoid confusion. And customer service could improve a little with a few of the baristas. I will still support this place because they have great coffee and it's a small business. And one of the shift lead girls is really nice, she knows me by name since I order so much and even gave me a free sausage ball one time just because, so that kind of makes up for the...
Read moreOff the main drag of maryville sitting nicely across the road from the college sits this nice peaceful coffee shop. I know many enjoy their chain coffee companies and I respect that but there is something very diffrent about a small business coffee shop that the chains struggle to grasp. This small house on the dead end road has transformed into a beautiful place to sit down and have a nice cup of tea. When y pi u walk in you wonder if your in the right place, it has kept the old comfort of an old house from the outside, the inside has a classic taste with minimal decor but the decor you see it ties together well with the classic home vibe. The tea was very good warm and sweet. Even though in the front room where you order the music can be heard for all who desired to hear you can escape to other rooms with in the house to enjoy your cup, study, or even read. Also if your a mother there is a play room for the kids with a few small toys so even a mother who wants to get away dont feel like they are pestering other patrons. There is an overwhelming calm about this small shop compared to the other coffee places around. I hope to...
Read moreI would describe Southern Grace Coffee Co. as consuming an ice cold glass of lemonade on a blistering hot summer’s day. Walking in here every morning feels like I’m walking into the home I never had. The atmosphere is bright and beautiful and warm and welcoming. Sometimes I have to ask myself if I really need to leave here and return to reality. And the coffee is not only delicious, but consistent every time. Try the cold brew latte with the butter beer and oat milk. I can’t confirm scientifically that this drink cured my crippling depression, but I’d put money on it that it did. You come for the coffee but stay for the “blessed” baristas. These ladies are cool as cucumbers. Whenever I leave, they shout, “have the best day of your entire life.” And you know what, maybe I will. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Truly a staple of not only Maryville, but the whole state of Tennessee itself. Do yourself a favor and come here for a life changing...
