Southern Grace Manor — Restaurant in Maryville

Went for breakfast at noon on a Sunday. Not very busy, plenty of tables available. This restaurant is in a very large house with plenty of rooms - some small, some large. I love places like this. The service model is almost fast-casual. On weekends, you go up to the counter to order, you get coffee from a container and your napkins and real silverware from a table. But they bring food and bus your table.

Having been told this place has the absolute best biscuits and gravy in town, I ordered that and a coffee. Coffee was a little better than average for a restaurant but not of the caliber of a good coffee shop. Maybe they use different coffee than the nearby coffee shop that shares their name. I roast my own coffee so I am pretty spoiled on decent joe.

Biscuits are gluten free, along with the rest of the menu. I've never had gluten free bread of any kind and I never will again. It was terrible. The gravy OTOH was wonderful. Needed more seasoning, but the consistency was perfect. It had plenty of good sausage.

Amazing place!! Food and coffee are amazing! Staff are very friendly and respectful! And such a blessing they provide great tasting food options for my wife that has a gluten allergy! I ordered a gluten free Key Lime pie for my wife’s birthday and it was amazing! Better than any that I have had including not gluten free and I have vacationed in the Keys! The place is beautiful and cozy, but the food and service is definitely not worth it. Coffee came way earlier than food, and by the time the food was ready, we had no coffee left. Americano coffee was good. They served chips along with my sandwich that was bagged ships, not fresh at all. The cheese on my sandwich was not even melted Biscuit and eggs were the smallest thing we ever saw and biscuit was not well baked. Hope they can improve the service because they have a beautiful...
