I ordered a Take out on UberEats app at 4:51pm and went to the restaurant at the estimated pick-up time which was 5:46pm. To my surprise, the restaurant was packed with people and my order was not ready. The restaurant seemed really busy, so I decided to wait for another 40minutes. At 6:21pm, on my UberEats app, the status of the order was changed to “Completed” when I was still waiting at the restaurant and did not get my order.
I got concerned about my order because I was already charged for it without actually receiving the order. So, when I asked the cashier at the restaurant, the lady/owner (instead of apologizing for the delay in the order) started to blame me for putting the order on UberEats because the restaurant has its own “designated delivery app/service” and that they do not “control” what I was seeing on the app. So, I asked the restaurant to at least cancel the order for me since I did not want to pay for an order I never received. They refused and repeated that “they don’t do UberEats”. I’m not too sure what they meant by saying that, but that is not the right way for an owner of restaurant to treat its customers who are just simply trying to pick up an order that they paid for. It’s really simple. We order food on the app because the restaurant is registered on the app. When we pay for the order, we go pick it up when it’s ready. The owner of a restaurant shouldn’t be yelling at its customers for placing an order on the app that they don’t have control over when they obviously do.
This simple issue could have been solved by their sincere apology and coming up with rational solutions -not yelling and with blatant lies.
Truly thankful for your...
Read moreThe women with gray hair in a pointytale at the front counter was SO rude. I will be taking my business elsewhere and telling everyone I know as well my bad experience. I went to pick up a DoorDash order and another door dasher (white male) came in as well to pick up a different order. I showed the women at the counter my phone with the name of the DoorDash order. She said it wasn’t ready yet. The other door dashers order finished before mine and he grabbed it and left without a word spoken. When another women came out front and said my order was ready “DoorDash for _”. As I went up to grab it the old lady with the grey ponytail yelled at me saying “you can’t leave until I see your phone. You need to click the button!!!” So I said “oh really I didn’t know you didn’t even glance at the guy that came in who’s also doordashing too”. Her response was “I was busy then”. Long story short I feel profiled and I will not spend a penny of my own...
Read moreGood food, but pricy menu, and mixed up order!!
This is the second time we ordered take-out there. The food is good, they go easy on the salts so I don't feel totally thirst for hours like some other Chinese places.
But the menu is pricy. Example: $12.50 for beef&broccoli, that's quite a bit more than what we're used to.
They mixed up the order. We didn't get the House Lo Mein, instead found some other fried rice in addition to the pork fried rice we ordered. I didn't bother driving back to return it, they are 20 minutes away. But it's irritating.
It's a family run establishment, the children doing homework at the dining tables, and husband/brother (?) handing around helping the children. Cute, but not professional.
If you can afford the prices for the above-average Chinese food, I suggest ordering take-out. But check the order to make sure you get what...
