Arby's — Restaurant in Mason City

Just waited a ridiculous amount of time to get our food in the drive-through. The car in front of us also waited a very long time, and all that was handed to them was a collapsed empty paper sack. When we got up to the window we payed and we waited, and waited and waited. At one point a worker set a sack of food near the window, but then she walked away. We waited, and waited. Finally, after 20-25 minutes total since ordering, I caught a worker's eye and shot them an irritated look. She yelled for someone else to give us our food. The girl that took our money came back to the window and timidly handed us our food. She asked if there was anything else she could get us. My wife said no and I said that we were never coming back. We get down the road and I look in the bag. Our fries were half empty and we'd waited so long that the sandwiches were cold. This isn't the first time we've experienced a wait like this there, but, for some reason, we kept subjecting ourselves to this terrible service. Going in and ordering does not improve speed....

Couple times I have not had good experiences there. I thought I'd wait to review but it continues to not be good. Today I ordered food for $9.30. When I got to the window the lady handed me the food. I had cash in my hand and she immediately took the food back out of my hands and make the "gimme" gesture with her hands. She didn't even say anything and had an annoyed look on her face the entire time. I gave her $10.05 because I wanted 3 quarters back for something. She loudly spoke to her co-worker, "I don't know why this lady thinks she can give me a nickel. I'm gonna just give it back." She handed me two quarters, two dimes, and the nickel just to be spiteful. She said, "You didn't need to give me the nickel because your just going to get it back." At this point I was frustrated so I just drove away without making a sassy remark back. She had short dark hair and didn't smile once the entire encounter. To top it all off, they got my order wrong and didn't give me a straw for my drink.... that was today 1-4...

Customer service is weak. We placed our order inside the restaurant and when Dante asked if we wanted a drink. We declined..and we got a shoulder shrug. We paid...did not get a thank you. When we received our order, Dante did not say thank you. This is my #1 pet peeve! I said: Dante I hope your evening gets better because it doesn't look like you are having a good day. He says...how do you know my name? Seriously! Oh my gosh....He is wearing a name tag! I just walked away and shook my head. Dante is clueless!!! Food is good. Hot, accurate. But Dante needs a little coaching, and maybe a new position ...waaaay back and not on the counter where first...
