I was so upset after leaving. My husband and I went yesterday March 30th around 3:30 in the Afternoon. To set the scene I am pregnant and 23 years old(mixed), my husband is 25(Caucasian). We are ALWAYS good customers and excellent tippers. There were about 4 other tables besides us. Our waitress took our drink order and then brought us our drinks about 10 minutes later. No big deal, we don't sweat the small stuff. By the time our drinks were brought to us we were ready to order but our waitress set our drinks down and swiftly walked away , once again, no biggie, maybe she was busy. It was about another 10 minutes until she returned for our order and we never saw her again until we got the check. Some guy brought out the food which was fine but my husband and I sat and watched as she checked on EVERYONE else except for us. Not one time did she ask us how the food was or if we needed anything . I found this to be upsetting because why were we not prioritized as customers AT ALL? We felt so unwelcomed and upset because the next time we saw her she slapped the check down to us and once again walked off with very little generosity. I know young people may be known to not be great tippers but my husband and I happen to be doing well financially and always support our wait staff. I'm not sure if the discrimination is due to our young age or if it's because I am African-American but it was very clear to us that we were not seen as important of a customer as everyone else. I left a 10% tip because I was almost in tears as we always treat servers with respect. Unfortunately, this has happened before at other restaurants and it's always upsetting. We deserve the same level of service as everyone else regardless of our age, race, etc. I won't blast the servers name but it starts with the letter D. Very disappointing service. I hope this gets to the staff so that they do better next time. The food was...
Read moreI really wanted it to be good and the best part of our visit was our waitress but the whole visit fell short, sadly. When we arrived, it seemed busy as a few large groups were finishing up so we waited a short while to be seated.
When we did get seated, our waitress came over and took our drink order. About 5 minutes later, another waitress came to take our drink order. Confused, we let her know we had already ordered and she left as the other gal came back with waters. Our waitress answered a few questions about the menu, made small talk, and was a delight to talk with.
When our food was delivered, my husband saw that his meal was not what he had ordered. When our waitress came back to check in on us, she apologized for the mix up and took his burger back to the kitchen.
I shared my burger with my husband and we both found the gluten free bun to be incredibly tough and wasn't able to be eaten. I couldn't really even tell you what it tasted like because I had a hard time chewing it. Unfortunate as we paid extra for the gf bun. Husband got his burger shortly after and that and he said the corrected food was fine.
A different waiter dropped off our check. My husband told me not to sign the slip since the check has the wrong order on the slip. We didn't order wings, my drink wasn't listed, and there was something else on there I don't recall that we hadn't ordered. Another waitress took our slip to the manager and she came over to correct the slip with a refund of 20 cents in cash. I told her we hadn't signed the slip for my card so she ran to go find the other slip which we waited for. There was a lot of waiting in our visit.
The visit wasn't ruined because there were good points and the staff was very nice to us but overall, there were a good number of flubs that if there were only one, could have been overlooked but built up over...
Read moreWe stopped in on Monday May 30th at 2:30pm. We were seated and the person left. Another table behind us was sat 5 minutes after us. They got their drinks and put their order in before we even got asked about our drink order. We ordered 2 appetizers. It took 30 minutes for the appetizers. The waters sat empty for 30+ minutes. Each time our server/bartender came to our table she said she would go check on our food, but we never once saw her go check on it. She went back behind the bar and hung out.
After an hour ( a full freaking hour), I had to walk to the bar and flag a server down to ask where our food was, as 6 other tables had come in, ordered, and either eaten and left or had their food. Our server came out and said someone "bumped" our food. Whatever that means. She said the manager was coming to talk to us. The manager never showed up. Had our server actually checked on our food the 2 times she said she was going to; this would have been caught. Had our server been attentive or even stopped by our table to Inquire or noticed we had been there since the dining room was empty (as it now had almost 10 tables come through), this would have been caught.
She said they were just now starting the food, but after over an hour, we had no faith in that actually happening. Things happen, I get it. But the issue was had the server done the basics, this would not have happened. Something as simple as actually checking on food, this would have been avoided.
I messaged the restaurant and heard back that day (May 30th). The manager, Brenda, aked if she could send gift certificates to give them another chance. Here it is 3 weeks later and nothing. We wanted to like this place. We were excited to try it since we live out of town. The service was some of the worst I have had, and the management does not follow through. ...
