I would give this more stars if I could. This is a new restaurant in Mason City, Iowa. It has been highly anticipated and for good reason. We've actually gone twice already since it has opened because we are such big fans. We even went the second day they opened when there was a blizzard. They aren't serving sushi yet but should be in a few weeks, but there is still plenty to choose from the menu. This restaurant will definitely be one of our family favorites. Right from the beginning we were greeted both times by a very friendly man. He generally seemed happy that we were there. Everything we have eaten has been fantastic! I love what they've done to the place as far as redecorating. Their branding is top notch: rom the rugs, lights, napkins, chopsticks, even the to-go containers. Well done. (The only negative I will say, and I'm hoping they read this so they can change it, is the tea wasn't very good. It was generic from Walmart and hardly had any flavor. They definitely can do better than that!) So glad they opened in Mason City! Thank you!! HIGHLY...
Read moreWent after I was released the day after a surgery, I asked for their most comfortable seat and their booths were recommended to us. Booth was extremely comfy and didn't bug my back surgery. We ordered quite a bit of food to try various things. Sushi was delicious, we always get eel and it was superb. Wife and I got 2 types of ramen, both had very generous portions of the fixings including meat, the meat was thick, tender, and so well charred def best quality we've had between MN and IA so far on the meat aspect. Mother also got a donburi and said it was great as well. We got a couple appetizers that were good and reasonable priced. Most likely to become our go to ramen shop not just because its closer than other good shops but the atmosphere, food, and service were just all around amazing. The boba was solid as well nothing to complain but nothing groundbreaking either. I think the only thing they are missing if they decide to branch out more would be more Japanese themed desserts but the lack of won't stop us from going back, beside mochi ice cream...

The steak cooked in the kitchen had perfect heat control—crispy and charred on the outside, while the inside was so tender that it oozed juice with every bite. Both the elderly and kids praised it for being easy to chew. The chicken was coated with a light garlic aroma, tender without being dry and full of flavor. The accompanying vegetables kept their crunch, and even my picky little one voluntarily had two bowls of rice. No need to wait for on-site teppanyaki shows; the food came out fast and the dining environment was quiet. Having a nice, peaceful meal with the whole family filled us with...
