I came in to have lunch with my family before they left back to Utah. There was very little to choose from in the small town of Mason being that it was Labor Day. Any who, we came in and it was almost to the walls packed. There is a sign that states “Seat yourself.” So we did. We sat for a couple of minutes watching this one waitress shooting around table to table. We are patient people. So we waited. She finally came over and greeted us and began taking our order. Apologizing profusely about having us wait. Again, we are patient people and we had extra time set aside for just this. I then see what seemed to be a manager and another older woman out helping this young lady take orders and clean off dirty tables. The younger waitress took our food and drink order and we got both pretty quickly. As we sat and ate our food and watched around us we noticed the older man who I believed to be a manager, completely downgrade this young woman in front of a very packed restaurant. I was very surprised how well that young woman brushed it off and continued to doing her job making the customers her priority during that time. On our way out we stopped at the counter to pay and that same man was at the register helping other groups of people get their checks paid. I told him how wonderful his young waitress was to us with such a full house and to my surprise, he was not pleased with my comment. It seemed to make him angry as he replied “ as long as you are happy with her service I suppose.” I couldn’t even believe it! I will never be returning to this location!! What kind of establishment doesn’t respect their workers? Especially the ones who are there and continue to keep the place running!
I am unsure of the managers name as I never asked. But our waitresses name says Ashley C on our receipt. I hope she sees this. You did such a wonderful job, young lady! Thank you so much for helping make our experience as great as possible given the circumstances. You were amazing! And boy do you deserve a raise!

We received the Worst customer service that we have Ever gotten @ this location! It was very disheartening🥺💔, actually, because the employees here are generally not rude. The woman working the drive thru was on the older side (which was Not the issue, it was her Attitude) & not only did she Lliterally Argued with me over the Fact that we had ZERO napkins in our bag🥺, she proceeded to Rudely Slam the napkins down into my hand, SLAM her window shut so hard that it bounced back open & walked away without an apology or anything!!! Ummmm, us Needing napkins Was Not the issue, provision of napkins should be The Standard!! She Rudely mentioned that "they are Always in the bottom of the bag!" I searched in front of her, & continued to Politely & Calmly confirm that we had "No Napkins." This is when she Really Lost Her Cool! Over napkins?!?!? Wowww!!
All she had to do was politely hand me the napkins with a "sorry we missed these today, we'll see you next time. Enjoy your meal!!"
Maybe it's timefor her & the hiring manager to rethink their choices....we have & sadly(for us), we will not be making the drive to this Mason location anymore to treat ourselves to our favorite A&W burgers, because if the come w a heaping side of disrespect & abuse, we don't want it. I'm not a masicist, I don't pay to be abused. AND our food was made incorrectly (which generally does not happen)! Read moreI went to eat here with my dad for breakfast! Customer Service was really bad.. waitress was extremely rude! She would interrupt our conversations and poor coffee without asking if we wanted more! I was wearing shorts and had my wallet in my back pocket. My wallet slipped out and I ended up leaving my wallet in the seat I was sitting. After being 10 mins away I realized I’d left my wallet and called A&W to ask. The manager was also extremely rude when I talked to him on the phone about my missing wallet. I heard the waitress in the background of my call with the manager say “ the wallets here I haven’t got a chance to look through it”. I returned to the store to find my wallet completely empty. The front counter had a big pile of cash that looked suspicious. I asked the waitress where’s the money that was in my wallet? She replied “ I don’t know some guy said “he found it out in the parking lot” in a very rude tone. I told her that I left it in my booth not the parking lot. She just blamed it on the customer when it was clearly her wrongdoing. I asked to speak to the manager and he was very rude and unprofessional. I asked him if he had any cameras in the store? He said no just one at the front counter none in the parking lot. He proceeded to take of his mask in the restaurant and say we don’t worry about the outside of the store only inside! Never said sorry about want happen to my money and wallet! I understand it’s not there fault my wallet fell out of my pocket.
