Overall Café Betances is a place to definitely check out if you’re in Mayagüez. The price and portions of the appetizers beat over the entrees, specially if you’re in a big group. Beware, if you come with a big group or if it’s slightly busy then the kitchen will struggle to keep up. Some people were done with their plates while others were just getting their plates. I tried the chorizo and Al Pastor tacos. Definitely recommend getting the chorizo over the Al Pastor. The staff were more than welcoming and make you feel happy to be spending your time here. I appreciate that the majority of the art is made by local artists. Please come visit and support local businesses!

Hoy los visitamos por primera vez. El servicio fue excelente. Justin ( perdon si no es el nombre) fue super amable. El chef Santos , nos visitó en nuestra mesa. Muy amable y simpatico. Los sliders de cubanitos super ricos( lo mejor de la.noche), los montaditoa de tripleta...otra cosa. El ambiente super relax. Muy recomemdado.

Me gustó el ambiente. Probé los tacos de pescado y la sopa mexicana, muy sabrosos. Es posiblemente el único lugar en el casco urbano de Mayagüez donde uno no se siente demasiado viejo y no tocan reggaetón . Recomendado.
