Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Maysville

Yesterday around 6:15pm, I purchased 8pc bone-in Chicken meal, Famous Recipe. 8 pcs chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and biscuits. Spent around $29. The chicken should have been discarded long before I arrived. It had dried out, and skin was so old and crunchy we pulled skin off in order to eat some of the meat. We all agreed the mashed potatoes and gravy was best part of meal. Coleslaw was delicious but too coarse for my parents to chew. Coleslaw would be a personal choice; the flavor was good. Server was pleasant and meal prepared quickly. This is a once a week stop for us. What can you say about chicken, if you like chicken, it is great fried chicken. You ordering can be a little tricky sometimes, LOL. They have a variety of ways to order it. You can get boneless tenders or you can get bone-in chicken. You can also get chicken that is spicy or traditional. They also have baked chicken. I like it all, but our favorite is the bone-in, spicy chicken. It's extra crunchy and just a little on the spicy side. It's not a bad deal to feed any amount of people you want. We are typically feeding six and I get the 12 piece which comes with four sides of about anything you want and biscuits. It runs about $30. That's $5 a person for a full meal. That's getting...

Our tenders were fresh and piping hot! They allied me to sample the chicken liver and I will definitely get an order my next trip through town!!

The potato wedges were the right amount of soft inside and spiced to perfection and crisped deliciously.

The biscuit had a hit of butter and the top was soft and biscuit light.

We fed a family of 3 on the 5 piece tender meal.

The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh.

The staff were incredibly hospitable and generous.

I had one of the best chicken tenders and they hands down best all competitors and even some of those fancy restaurants!
