We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday requested a table and was told no tables were available although I could see an empty table. So assuming the table was reserved we took a booth and the greeter slings our menus across the table and said "someone will be with you." And we waited and waited and waited for a total of 12 minutes before a guy comes up and sits down 2 small bowels of salsa and a basket of chips and without a word walks away! Another 8 minutes go by and a different guy comes along with silverware and asks what we'd like to drink. I informed him we were ready to order, placed our drink and food orders and waited and waited! After 10 minutes the drinks arrive and I requested more chips and salsa which to my great suprise arrived immediately! About 20 more minutes and our food arrives with the guacamole I ordered as an appetizer which would've been fine had I not waited that entire time for green, flavorless soup. The food was completely unimpressive. When a cheese enchilada is the most flavorful part of the entree there's definitely something wrong in the kitchen!! Upon paying for the bill we we're asked how it was and we informed the gentleman cashing us out that it wasn't very good. He asked if it was the food or service and when he was told both he simply stated oh that's too bad! $64 and not so much as an "I'm sorry you didn't like it" "would you like to speak with management" nothing but too bad! In their defense they were extremely busy but according to the many reviews I read before going apparently my arrival time should have provided me the best Mi Camino Real had to offer. Disappointed would be an understatement! They definitely need to rework the recipes and customer service. We had been here a year or so before this visit and had amazing service and delicious Mexican cuisine but it's definitely not the place it used to...
Read moreStopped in to check out the new digs since they moved across the street. Attempted to order tacos carnitas to be told "no it's not on the menu". I agreed and stated that carnitas is offered as an entree on the menu. He agreed. I asked could I get that with some tortillas, cilantro and onions. Again he says "no" and that I have to order from the menu. So, I can't custom order, I can't order from the menu and make adjustments. We just offered to pay for the drinks and left. The real kicker here is that if you can't do something as simple as slapping meat you already have made onto a dang tortilla and throwing onions and cilantro (which you also already have chopped) onto a flipping plate what are ya even doing?? And if this is the service you offer, there's definitely an issue. No offer to ask the kitchen, get a manager, nothing....just no! I hope he enjoyed the rest of the futbol game he was watching as it was obvious having to service our table was a problem. Do better Maysville. Mt orab serves me tacos carnitas every time I walk through the door, but el caminanta will too! What a laugh we had with the staff at the place...
Read moreHad eaten at restraunt years ago when it was in the strip plaza across the we street, that is why we came back ?? Good food Good service Atmosphere good This trip was PITIFUL!!!! WILL NOT RETURN !!! FOOD COLD SERVICE TERRIBLE!!! the booth behind us got more attention by all the staff astheu t have been friends and or worked at the establishment???? Many of the employees were actually sitting at the table while we waited for napkins, a return from server "how is your dinner thus evening folks" ended up telling the hostess my food was barely even warm not hot she asked if I would like there homemade hot sauce!!!! As the story goes just cannot get good food service or the atmosphere at most establishments!?!?! WHY????? We are the customers and pay your bills? I don't venerie that in the only one who gets food and service that are way below industry standards? The rice and beans weren't hot nor the plate they were served on and thought it was funny as food runner(person runs food from kitchen to tables) was using a towel to make it seem like plates were hot!!!!!
See ya...
