Disgustingly dirty room, poorly maintained hotel. Customer service not focused on problem solving.
First, the advertised indoor pool was closed due to contamination and apparently from what the front desk clerk said, had been closed for some time and had no estimated date of re-opening. But that was just the beginning.
Our room was FILTHY. So disgustingly filthy that I would have gone back to the front desk and rejected the room had we not been so exhausted that we didn't have the wherewithal to look for another local hotel.
The room had vinyl floors that had not been cleaned for so long that they were visibly dirty and the soles of my mother's feet were covered in black filth merely walking from the bathroom to the bed.
The part of the bathroom with the toilet and tub had walls that had apparently not been painted or cleaned in years. there were brown smudges (feces???) and black marks all over the door, door jam and wall. It looked like a seedy gas station bathroom that had not been cared for since 1954. I was so glad I had flip-flops and actively avoided touching anything in the bathroom because it was so gross!
The next morning we ran into another family who had to go to Walmart and buy cleaning supplies because they had a small child with them and were concerned about her safety and well-being given the how dirty their room was. I brought these things up to the front desk staff the next morning and asked them to forward the info to the manager. They agreed, but also tried to play off the dirty floor issue as a "maybe the new mops the housekeepers are using are not so good" thing. This is ridiculous and offensive.
Then to add insult to injury when I returned to the room after breakfast to pack up and prepare for departure, I found that the card key no longer worked and had to go back to the front desk AGAIN. I was told that this is a known glitch they are aware of that locks guests out by deactivating their keys the moment they first leave the room in the morning. When I asked why they didn't give us the heads up when we were just up there and offer to reactivate our key at that point, they said "well it doesn't ALWAYS do that - so we just fix it when it happens".
This is the most frustrating and disgusting hotel stay experience I've had in nearly a decade - and the only time I've ever had a more unsettling experience EVER was an independent cheap motel I once had to stay in because it was the only place that had a vacancy during a snow storm.
I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, and I will definitely think twice before choosing Quality Inn elsewhere due to...
Read moreSo much to unpack here, or maybe not, because this place is gross, but let's start with what's right: new vinyl flooring and a comfortable queen bed. Furniture is new but Spartan. Okay, now that that's out of the way I'll give you what you came for. Starting at the front door, it's loose with visible daylight on 3 sides, drafty on a good day, the door audibly moves with a click whenever the wind blows. I turned on the heater to warm it up and immediately wished I hadn't because of the foul odor which issues forth has prominent notes of burning hair and urine - I got used to it eventually, but that's not exactly a good thing. The large comfortable bed was that, but a thorough inspection before occupying it revealed lots of human hair on the fitted sheet - this is why I bring a light sleeping bag and my own pillows when traveling, I can make a bed on top of the bed and sleep comfortably in my own space. Proceeding to the TV, I think the big sticker on it saying don't steal the TV because it won't work outside a hotel is a thoughtful touch. Ok now we arrive at the sink area - the hole punched in the drywall by the bathroom door speaks volumes. The sink contains a spiderweb of black cracks leading to a plugless black hole at the bottom, very untidy. Into the bathroom, and nowhere near the end of my adventure, I'm immediately struck by the uncleaned toilet seat, which I wiped down with a cleaning wipe. The shower had hair, lots of hair, like Burt Reynolds shaved an orangutan in there. I turn around in horror, and note the empty toilet paper roll - which, to my immediate relief was backed by a new unopened roll. Trying to sleep, I noted the traffic and neighbors are loud. Internet Wi-Fi is spotty at best. Strange hose spewing hot water into the parking lot left me with questions that were answered around 10pm by two loud employees discussing said spewing water while putting away a cleaning cart which was left outside my room all day. No left turn out of the parking lot? Come on! Awful,...

Stayed here and was absolutely to say the least livid at 7am in the morning. They are doing some renovations and I had got in late. At 7am I was awoke to banging going on. At first I ignored it while trying to sleep in a little thinking it was someone trying to wake someone up to get into a room but after about 15 minutes I stepped outside and learned that they had choose to nail down shingles on the roof in 30 degree weather with ice on the roof ( Doesn't sound to safe for the roofers and i'm pretty sure its not good to nail shingles as they get brittle at that temperature). Well I had just had it and I packed my stuff and checked out immediately. I had nowhere to be for the next 3 days as I was traveling for work and I would have enjoyed sleeping in and relaxing till check out. I asked the girl at the counter as I got my receipt if there was a manager in duty to which she said she was. Now I rarely complain but I was really upset with the noise and choice of timing. As I asked her who was responsible for authorizing this work at this time she said " well its got to be done". Well i'm sorry but I have the room till 10am and expect quite time, well at least till 9am would be fine. I left without breakfast or coffee because I was so livid. Will be complaining to corporate about this visit. Also the maid missed a previous guests fried chicken in the fridge which was not pleasant to smell when I loaded...
