My family has been coming to Big Al’s since it’s grand opening, when family and friends come to visit from out of state, I take them to Big Al’s, so I hate to give it a one star review but from what I experienced tonight I feel as though the 1 star is warranted because of the customer service and customer service is everything in a business establishment. I call in my order so when I arrive at the restaurant all I have to do is pay and pick up. There is usually a lady working the registers but tonight Ali who is one of the owners was working them. I entered the restaurant behind a young lady, so I was second in line, about a minute or two later a couple entered and I believe someone came in after them. Ali was in the back of the store while we all entered. When he finally came to address the line of customers he asked us to wait while he finished taking a phone order, no problem. Once he finished taking the phone order and assisting the first customer at the counter, he asked whoever was next to come forth. I stepped to the counter he looked passed me (although no one objected to me being next) and ask the couple behind me if they were next. They said no, and that I was next in line. At this point I’m baffled, I’m not understanding why he thinks I need to cut the line or that my word of being next isn’t truthful. I informed him of how very rude that was to think I would need to cut a line or for him to assume my word wasn’t the truth. He claimed it was because he saw them first (perhaps he forgot the fact that he was in the back when everyone entered so whom he saw first doesn’t matter), I can’t help but think if it was the color of my skin or my attire which caused him to display his bias. This interaction has left me with a very sour taste from my family’s favorite pizza restaurant, and I think on principle I will have to pass on Big Al’s in 2022.
