STAY AWAY!! Save your money go somewhere else, #HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE #menudo was #SALTY, #birria had a #burnt taste, just did not taste good at all, requested they exchange it and they refused, what made it #worse was Jose charged me for a drink I had to come back to get, no "verdura" in my to-go order, no onion, cilantro, oregano, nada. He played me too, said I have to talk to el encargado for an exchange, left me standing outside, while he went to go talk to the person in charge then came back to say sorry can't do an exchange I can sell you something else. I asked to speak to the person in charge, he said "soy yo el encargado" translation, I'm the person in charge, WOW I couldn't believe him, I told him he was just playing me for dumb then and he just grinned. I asked him who he went to go speak to then, no lie he said "pues conmigo mismo"!!!!! I've been a customer since 2009, never had a problem like this before, I will reach out to the owners to try and rectify, but oh man, Jose really made a bad situation that could've easily been corrected right then and there #WORSE. So sad, I'm all about supporting small and local business, but this was terrible! Birria was $17 and change, if I'd pay $9 or even $10 fine I don't expect great quality, but bad food and service for a $40...

Known mainly for it's Birria (spicy-stewed goat meat), it is a small hole-in-the-wall / mom-and-pop establishment that is easy to miss if you're driving by. Limited in seating and with no parking available, it's best to park on the residential Street behind the restaurant. I've been here a handful of times but it's not my first choice. The food is decent but the seating arrangements outside (this restaurant is a converted house where the patrons sit on tables 'party-style' in what would normally be the drive-way). If Parking and seating weren't an issue I would give it an extra star.
I don't like complicated or uncomfortable places.
However, food-wise it is slightly pricy but delicious. I have tried the birria, menudo, tacos and burrito ('de birria'). The burrito was a large portion while the tacos and other dishes were a more common size.
If you do get the courage to stop by despite the awkward parking and seating situation, don't forget to ask for a Mexican Coca-cola with your food for a...
Read moreSo my regular place was out of menudo and I always take the same pan.. I seen this place on Instagram and decided to try it.. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I GET MY PAN FULL for $30 to $35 at my regular spot.. spent $40 here and thought it should be enough for 3 people.. this is what I got for 40.. barley enough for 2 small bowls for my kids the rest of the pan was just juice.. menudo is good but was barley enough to feed 2 kids which is terrible.. considering i seen a lady eating with a small bowl there and was probably about the same amount as what they gave me with a pan.. definitely less than 1 star for value.. I still can't get over these 2 small bowls being $40??? What the heck, I dont see how this is ok.. **since you replied, even a can of Juanitas fills both those bowls about the same to what you claim is "70 ounces" so that's a bunch of nonsense.. now is you said "70 once of pure liquid? I would...
