Well, I must say that Hostess Hensley was right when she told me that I would be glad that I chose this restaurant to get a take-out meal! It was located a very short block away so I just walked over by the motel office and across the parking lot & down a little strip mall. I’ There were people waiting in line- a good sign . This is a very small town, so even on a Friday night, I would not have expected it to be as packed as it was ! They serve seafood, catfish, burgers, steaks& Pasta. The special tonight was quail. I heard several diners discussing that is what they were going to have. My dining partner had crabcakes and said they were good. We ordered him a side of fries when he also enjoyed. I ordered a three piece fried catfish, a loaded baked potato and sweet corn bread. The catfish were very long thin fillets. Lightly breaded with cornmeal and deep fried. Not oily, not greasy! Really close to perfect by my tastebuds. The sweet corn bread was a huge square, nice and moist and studded with red & green peppers. Delicious. This serving was so large. I couldn’t hardly finish half! My second side was a loaded baked potato. It was a nice foil wrapped potato. It came with small containers of shredded cheese, bacon, and a packet of sour cream. It was tender and baked well, so I was able to eat it easily with my plasticware. While I waited, I sat near the bar area which was also full up. They were very busy making adult beverages. Everyone I interacted with was polite and very pleasant ! Customers seemed happy, too !!! If we ever get back here, we will definitely have it on your list of great places to eat.

We just ate here for the first time. OK, let me get the one teeny tiny mark against them. And that is, too much garlic in the green beans. (And I love garlic.) The green beans were cooked perfectly, though. Let me start with the owner's music Playlist. My husband and I could sing along to every single song. Fantastic selection for atmosphere! Our waiter, Dakota, really knows his stuff. He recommended several dishes to my husband, without hesitation. He even brought out samples for him to try. He eventually settled on a jambalaya pasta dish, which was generously portioned. I had a 6 Oz sirloin, medium. It was cooked to absolute perfection. The BEST steak I have eaten in a very long time. Then there's the little bucket of REAL butter on the table instead of the cheap imitation junk. We will definitely be back and this will be the first place we bring any family or friends that come to visit. And we will be asking for Dakota because, that dude rocks! Whatever y'all are doing, don't change it! An amazing dining experience worthy of 10+ stars. Ate here, yet again! 11/2/21. The red beans and rice are good and not super spicy. Just a hint from the sausage. The hush puppies are the closest you're going to get to regular cornbread. I personally like plain old cornbread. My husband got the pasta dish again. We didn't get an app because the rolls are just delicious! I do wish they'd use regular bowls instead of these large, shallow ones because your food cools off way too fast. We still like the food here and will continue to come back and recommend them.

I ate at Captain John’s today, and let me tell you, the food was sooooooo good it changed my life! 😋✨ After one bite, I repented from all my sins, forgave my enemies, and decided to live my life better. I was in McAlester, Oklahoma for business and knew nobody there. On my way home, I waved at strangers, laughed at my friend’s corny jokes, and paid all my delinquent bills. 📬 The food was lifechanging—like it was sprinkled with sunshine, moonlit walks on the bayou, and every Bruno Mars and Pharell song ever made. 🎶🌞🌙 I started with the onion rings, which were crispy halos of joy that fell from angels heads and onto my plate. Then came the jambalaya fettuccine, a perfect marriage of spice and comfort 👰💒if my marriage was this balanced we might still be together. 🍝 Them rolls tho’ 😇😇😇each bite took me closer to food nirvana. 🌟 And don’t even get me started on the jalapeno cornbread and jalapeno stuffed boudin—they had just the right kick to make my taste buds dance. 🌶️💃 The service? Iit was like having a personal genie who grants food wishes! 🧞‍♂️ The staff made me feel like I was the captain of my own culinary adventure. They even packed a to-go box✨i may pull my neighbor’s trash can off the curb and cut his grass🍃🌿Lord hammercy‼️❕‼️ If you haven’t been to Captain John’s yet, drop everything and go. Your taste buds and your soul will thank you. 🙌🍴 You might even start humming happy tunes and making grand life decisions like I did! 🎉 #LifeChangingMeals #CaptainJohnsMagic #FoodHeaven #NewLifeGoals

This is to the owner who completely ignored my review...did u even read my review in its entirely?..obviously u didn't or u just don't care about your customers or ur business....let me explain simply again...this was 1st time I ever ate here.. I ordered some food which was take out... around $75 for my family..my order came with beans... the waitress was going through my food to make sure I got what I ordered.Of course like you said.... She said oh, you werent supposed to get this,This is extra.. it was large order of beans which I chose as one of my sides with my order... She told me that was an extra one that I got two of them by mistake... She said , let me go check with the kitchen.. I waited and she came back and said yes , the kitchen was missing a beans that was the extra one in my order bag... Upon getting back home an hour later.Going through the food I don't have any beans at all... She was so worried about me getting an extra bean that she took the one I was supposed to get leaving me without any beans I ordered and paid for!!!! Then had the gall to lie to my face saying the kitchen was missing one and that was it.... I called and complained and they said they would give me a free large bean the next time I ordered....so now I try to call months later coming back into town to get my large beans u owe me..tried to but waitress said ya'll was out and I asked if I could substitute for another side and she told me no...ur response is ludicrous that u hope everything else was there in the order and sorry?....u owe me a side for months and still owe me and I'm outta luck?... I bet I'll cost you way more business than you giving me my beans u owe me I paid for and waitress stole out my...

I made a reservation a few WEEKS in advance for a family member’s birthday. The reservation was for 14 people which I had to call and get approved by a manager. I was told since it was so far out that I booked, a party of 14 wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived at the restaurant they had split my party up between a booth and a table that weren’t even together. I asked why and they just said that’s how it was they didn’t have any other way because they gave the table that would fit my party away before we got there. I would usually understand, however we asked if we could just move a smaller table over and we we’re told no they don’t do that. The waiter then continued to have an attitude by saying “Well do we need to figure something out for y’all?” to which I responded “I would like for all the members of my party to be sat together since it is a birthday dinner,” to which HE IGNORED AND WALKED OFF. Then as we sat and ate they put a table of our same size together with another one, which our very rude waiter had just said they weren’t allowed to do. When asked about moving, he was VERY rude to a member of the party by saying “Ma’am, that’s for a party of 30,” like that meant the other party was special or something. The food was good, however the waiters attitude towards the entire party was extremely uncalled for and made the entire dinner awkward for the party. I was very disappointed in this service as we live in town and dine at this restaurant often. Probably won’t be coming back as often, never had that kind of treatment from staff at the Eufaula location. You’ll probably be better off going there and not receiving attitude or...
