I avoid doing negative reviews and sent the following to the Wendy's contact email asking that they confirm it was received. My thinking is that a manager aware of the issues is better able to correct things. I never heard back.
We thought Wendy’s would be a dependable stop. I remember my first time to have a Wendy’s burger. The year was 1979. The burger was hot, juicy, tasty, and SQUARE. I’ve used Wendy’s many times over the years after that first positive experience. My impressions on Store #10837 in McAlester, OK. The grounds needed policing for trash pickup. (storefront/parking). The dining area had several tables with left over fries and trash paper. Men’s restroom had a hole in the wall next to the urinal about 8”x24.” If repair was in process, some indication of that would be nice, but it appeared to be something left for a while. It appeared there was water damage around the window where we ate. Caulking was separated and tiles were water-stained. Our burgers were barely lukewarm. The fries were slightly warmer but not anything approaching hot. The ice machine wasn’t working. We were fine with having cold Cokes without ice. The young lady who was taking orders was courteous, but listening to her repeatedly saying “We ain’t got no ice” got old. A manager might have helped her adjust that to “I’m sorry, but our ice machine isn’t working.” The front was unwatched for several minutes at a time with all employees in the back. I'm sure they were working, but would think someone should be observing the dine-in customers for safety and service.

There was only one customer ahead of me, but the amount of time it took to be waited on, seemed like a dozen customers were ahead of me. A group of ladies came in after me, and I heard them tell an employee the lady's restroom was dirty and out of toilet paper, the employee responded: "are you going to order or not?" I advised the group that I would find another place to dine if I had to do it again and they agreed with me and departed. I had already paid for my food. When my order was ready the food was cold. I was very disappointed at the level of service and sanitary conditions. I made a stop at the men's restroom on the way out, and I was shocked at what I saw. I am unsure as to how long it had been since the restroom was cleaned. The entire restaurant was a disgrace. I think that the health department would shut this place down quickly if they inspected it. Very disappointed that one of my favorite restaurant chains has a facility like this one. I came in behind a doordash driver. The driver stated that the customer had an issue with their order. Bobbie, who stated to me that she had just started, was very nice and was honestly trying to help. I witnessed Joyce get onto Bobbie three or four times in the span of 5 minutes telling her to just give the lady the nuggets that was ordered. By that time the doordasher had already left, and Joyce was trying to say that I was the customer. I told her that I wasn't the customer in question and that she had already left.
My mobile order had been accidently cleared off and was never made, which happens and I understand that, but Joyce was asking Bobbie where the order was because she hadn't seen it.
