I do not have enough words to say how much I love North Park Lounge! I am constantly impressed by the food, the staff, and the atmosphere. We pulled into the parking lot on a Saturday night and saw they were packed, so we decided to order take out instead. From ordering to curbside pickup was less than 20 minutes. So fast and easy! Everything was beautifully cooked and packaged and was still hot when we got it home.

Their burgers are 10 times better than Burgatory or any other burger place. I got the A-1 burger and my fiance got the Black and Bleu. Cooked perfectly to temperature with a nice char on the outside, seasoned well, and not soggy by the time we got it home! I love that they packaged the burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.) separately. And the fries were crispy and delicious! We also got an Iceberg wedge salad with steak and it was fantastic. Generous toppings, and the steak was tender and juicy. The homemade Bleu cheese dressing is great on fries, too. We ALWAYS get the Garlic Lover's Rolls and they never disappoint! They're exactly what they sound like and they are straight up addictive! All of that food was less than 50 bucks, too!

The measures they've put in place for the pandemic are so great. They have tables out front with greenhouse type structures around them, so your party can have its own separate space. They're lit by white string lights and look super festive and fun. I think it's genius. It means they can safely social distance every table without having to lower their capacity. They offer Curbside Pickup and Delivery through their app, too.

I visited the mccandless location today with my family for dinner after a day of shopping. We were seated outside without being asked if that was ok with us. It was ok until we got out there and everyone was using their outside voice. I literally had to yell across the table so my daughter could hear what I was saying. Not to mention the group of patrons who were smoking right outside the outdoor seating area. We ordered our food, appetizer came out, everything was fine. Until 30 minutes later we still had no entrees. When our food came out my order was wrong. I ordered a steak salad and received a chicken salad instead. The waitress was very apologetic and accepted blame for the error, which could have been avoided had she written our orders down. We were a table of 4 with 2 orders having special requests with their meal. The fish dinner that was ordered was not cooked completely. The batter on the inside was still wet and uncooked. The manager came over and apologized and giggled, then apologized and giggled, about 3 more times in that order. She said our meal would be taken care of and we were still presented with a bill. In the end the bill was comped, but the whole experience was an inconvenience. More so considering we had to leave there and stop at a fast food place to get dinner for those of us who were not able to eat dinner due to errors. We sat and waited 30+ minutes so the decision was made to just leave after the kids ate. This was our second time eating there, the first time was very enjoyable with good food and decent prices. I’m posting this to let anyone know before they come here that this establishment charges you 3.5% extra anytime you use a credit or debit card. When my mother and I decided to meet for lunch here yesterday I was confused when the amount on the merchant copy of the receipt where you sign was more than the amount on the original check we were given. When I asked about this I was told their policy is to charge people who come in to give them their business an extra 3.5% to cover what should be their cost of doing business. I find this practice to be classless, cheap and a total trash act. So if you decide to do a family get together or a birthday here and your party of 12-13 people racks up a $500 tab, be sure to pay in cash to avoid being penalized an extra $20 by the owners simply for giving them your business. It’s very rare to see this given that almost everyone pays with a debit or credit card these days but the owners of NPL feel firm in the belief that their electronic fees should be covered solely by their patrons.
