Where to start? Ahhh, here's how...
Food: We ordered three tacos 🌮 and the brisket taco is the only one worth remembering... the other was nice but really cold and loaded with salsa on top so I didn't get to enjoy it till I got home to warm it up.... but honestly I still enjoyed it. Sooo tacos are a ➕️ plus‼️ Where the minus ➖️ comes in is with the drinks.... alcoholic & virgin Question: 🎶Who adds spicy habaneros to dragonfruit and strawberries? 🎶 CONDADO TACOS‼️ Gross 😝 😝 😝 😝 😝. I asked for the spice to be removed and they did on the first drink and blatantly disregarded my order request on the 2nd drink. It hurt my feelings but.... SERVICE: Was so Amazing!💫 We got this angel-eyed waitress who allowed me to change my table because the seats were too low for my little legs. Her lashes were simply beautiful and so was her service. She smiled and did her best to make sure our experience was worth the while. When we asked what she suggested, she gave a good list to choose from describing the tacos to flavor as best she could. We chose one of her selections for two of the three tacos ordered. They was the best ones. The young lady made the establishment 5 stars. The young lady hugged to express understanding of the reason for our "celebration" = Cancer, transition to transplant. Thank you, wish I remembered her name but I'll never forget her face and heart. Atmosphere: Mannnnnnnnnn, those chairs are so hard, I went there last week Thursday and still feel the chairs in my rump and it's Tuesday the following week. Worst chairs ever! Hard with a hole in the middle to make sure you feel how hard they are. I will not go back there at all because of the chairs. Hard, cold chairs. Foolish chairs. If you have H.S. or any rump problems, do not go here. The artwork is interesting and worth viewing. Colorful and vibrant... but as you are looking up, your weight is pushing you down into those hard cold chairs, so you'll look down to hurry and eat and leave to save your legs from going numb. They look nice, but they are steel with no cushion. Comfort is important when picking a "regular " spot. Their Tacos win! Their artwork is colorful and vibrant. Unique, for sure. Comfort is a fail. By the seating arrangements, I'd hate to see that place more busy than it was. If you don't like the "crowded" feel, this place is not for you. It felt crowded with about 30 customers, not including staff.... felt busy but it was easy going... think the walls play a part and the open cafeteria-like floor plan. They have a long bar, some high tables along the border, and the center is filled with regular height tables & chairs. They also have outside seating for the tanners & those who enjoy the outdoors. The surrounding atmosphere is of other restaurants, it's clean and even beautiful. So outdoors is worth sitting in if there isn't a heat index over 90°. Drinks.... don't get the margaritas unless you double-shot them, remove the spicy... unless you like spicy, enjoy. Just not my cup of tea. They have a wonderful abundant selection of premium top-shelf alcohol that if their environment were more comfortable I'd return to enjoy. We spent 160 (30 was tip) so 130 on 3 Delightfully Delicious, one cold, tacos- 4 margaritas, 2 of them with double shots of Petron, 1 virgin margarita - A giant Triple dip tortilla chips tray & a wonderful angel-eyed waitress -...
Read moreWell here’s my list of pros and cons:
Pros
I love the fact that they are open late. 5* Frozen margaritas have real purée!!! Great tasting and not artificial Salsa very good and has heat to it I love the jackfruit and portebella vegan proteins I love the colors , decor and location Wait staff was good and prompt I like the choose your own ingredient menu I love the recycled and biodegradable straws On the rocks margaritas are also made using real lime juice!!!! No fake artificial syrups!!!
Cons
Very very loud. A new building could have used sound absorption material The metal seats are cold and hard. Bar seats small and hard too and very uncomfortable - see photo Chips are too thick and not heated
The place was around half full and the echo was mind numbing. The overhead music was another annoyance The floor is concrete and scooting chairs really took away from the comfort The soft flour tortilla needs to be heated and not served cold My complaints will never be changed as they already built the place.
Maybe others do not care about comfort but I do. Id come back only on a slow day and hour and only on a sunny day because warmth could be an issue with this industrial concept and I’d cover the seat with a coat !
Maybe when the newness wears off and crowds thin out it will be quiter, but as it is people are yelling to compete with the music , chair scooting , plates clanging, babies crying and overall...
Read moreI phoned and made a reservation at the McCandless location for a group of 8 for HH and snacks on a Wednesday at 4:40. I was told that the restaurant is not busy at that time and that it would be "no problem."
When we walked in, there were two tables of 4 set up for us. There were very few customers and plenty of seating. We decided to push the tables together for our group. The bartender quickly came over to tell us that we were "not allowed" to move tables and we must put them back so the food runner knows where to bring our food. We asked if we could have a table in the restaurant area to join together and she replied, "No, we do not move tables together." About 20 mins later a large group came in and they pushed tables together in the restaurant area for them.
We will not bring our group back because unfortunately we felt that providing us a table for eight for an employee get together would not be an issue, but the bartender made us feel like we were in the wrong. Please consider educating your employees that it is ok to accommodate larger parties or you may find yourself losing business.
I would have rated the food higher, but the house salsa was terrible. Not sure why it looked and tasted so bad. No one in our group ate it after trying one bite. All other dips we selected were great. Thanks and good...
