Imagine a surreal world within your realm of reality. A magical world that may tickle and entice the senses. Envision stepping into a dream, wide awake. Cross over from peach tree, red clay existence into a blue-infused mecca from a land far away. You've just entered Fusion.....
Like the great pyramids of Egypt, the form enshrouds the secrets to be discovered within. Stealthily ensconced within the confines of a modern convenience and conveyance oasis, Fusion awaits the hungry masses.
Driving endlessly southbound along the asphalt trail we had a sign from above that Fusion would play into our future. That sign being a tallish billboard reaching towards the Sun. This visual invitation on the horizon beckoned to us. We accepted.
Traveling with my gorgeous goddess, aka my fab fiancée, we seek out the marvels of modern living and dining. That quest for best has rewarded us with some incredible experiences. Discovering Fusion culminates the search for Mediterranean perfection.
Fusion is at first, a total visual delight. Light and design combine to carry your gaze on a virtual reconnaissance. You witness a tour de force. Mere nails fashioned into table masterpieces. Color immersion through glass and steel. Breathtaking and beautiful.
We were greeted and seated by Erin, an almost porcelain beauty radiating within the all-encompassing light. She ably led us through our entire Fusion exploration. Such attention to detail in service once again raises the bar.
Beginning with the Mediterranean Greek Salad, I was pleasantly impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The Citrus dressing painted each morsel with a stroke of phenomenal flavor. Absolutely delicious. I then opted for a lamb gyro accompanied by scrumptious fried potatoes. The gyro was a delicate blend of spice and nice. What a wonderful treat.
Fab one decided on the Grilled Chicken Skewer plate. She loved the marinated chicken. I know that smile.
Another five-star moment in this Mediterranean 'Fresh'tival was getting to meet Sherif, the owner and creative genius behind Fusion. Such a friendly and personable man, with exemplary business acumen. Clearly demonstrating how his personality converged into these culinary creations. We enjoyed interacting with him immensely.
Sherif recommended and personally served us one of his favorite desserts, and it was absolutely and deliriously delectable. No free throws here. I'm compelling you to find out which dessert is his favorite, on your own!
As we prepared to say goodbye, I sipped my minty hot tea with a new appreciation... of fusion.......incorporating elements of diverse cuisines and joining two or more things together to form a single entity. Food, friends...
My review epilogue is as follows. I've written the first chapter of this novel, titled simply 'Fusion', outlining the story, the elements and the characters. I even provided the teasing taste of temptation. The next chapters? I'm passing the...
Read moreWent to Fusion today (7/8/23) with my family, bcuz I enjoyed it so much my last few times. I ordered the $40 lamb chops, bcuz they were AMAZING on my first visit, & they were a HUGE disappointment this time! They were dry & thin, a complete 360 from my first visit. I mentioned it to the waiter & he said "there was nothing he could do & he thought the lamb chops looked fine. He didn't think they looked dry". He then said he would go get the manager. Few minutes of waiting & nothing. I had to call him over to refill my drink & he said the manager said there was "nothing that could be done". I asked him to ask the manager to come out, bcuz obviously the manager had not planned to come out to see me. She came out & basically repeated what he said "they don't look dry" to her & "they look fine". I showed her what I was talking about by pulling the meat apart. The piece was so dry the bone broke. She finally agreed there were a few dry pieces on the plate & discounted the item. Honestly, it wasn't even really about the discount it was about the fact that the $40 lamb chops I ordered came out overcooked & not to my liking. I didn't ask for a discount, I'd planned to pay for the meal, but I wanted to show her what they were serving & to let her know I wasn't pleased. I appreciate the discount but that will probably be my last time visiting this establishment. Original Review from 3 years ago: First & foremost, our waitress Carrie gets 5 stars! She was fantastic! Carrie was very attentive & informative and made our first dining experience there an enjoyable one. I ordered an appetizer of hummus & the entree Fusion Lamb Mixed Grill. The majority of the food was delicious, mainly the hummus & lamb chops - OMG! I am definitely going back for more of both. When I tell you I could have eaten a bowl of hummus & been totally satisfied, believe me! The lamb chops were seasoned and cooked perfectly and the lamb & beef kafta was very tasty. The only downside to my meal was the lamb kebab, it was very tough & dry. Maybe bcuz it came out at room temperature & not hot is why, I'm not sure, but it wasn't as good. I took it home & reheated it & it tasted better hot but it was still a little tough. I wouldn't order it again, hence the 4 stars. The moussaka was good, it was cooked different from what I am use to but it was tasty. It was more of a tomato & eggplant stew, than the moussaka I'm accustomed, but still good. The mixed vegetables were good, seasoned very well. I would highly recommend this place for dining. I've already told a few friends & family about it & I plan to tell a few more and return...
Read moreFusion was one of my favorite restaurants to frequent. It's located just minutes from my home and the food has never disappointed. I brought my entire team here several times and have turned on several friends to its great Mediterranean cuisine. However, customer service is huge for me. There are several restaurants in Metro Atlanta with great food I could patronize who also embody great leadership, managerial abilities, and customer service skills. Today was disheartening, to say the least. Fusion’s key lime cheesecake is my favorite. I've gone in and asked for it to-go on several occasions. One on occasion, my friend and I were informed by who I believe to be the owner/manager that they were out and usually run out before the new inventory comes in on Thursdays. Noted. With that in my mind, and after a challenging Thursday, that same friend and I decided a slice of key lime cheesecake would be the perfect fix. We stopped in for a slice and noticed the new pie was in. Right behind it was one slice of the old pie, which according to the person we spoke with before, had been there since last Thursday (an entire week). I asked the young lady who was helping me if it was possible to have a slice of the fresh pie. Her response was “Of course. I was going to do that anyway.” Not long after she began to prepare my to-go order, the owner (the same person I spoke with during the previous visit), made a comment to the young lady regarding her efforts to provide great customer service. Moreover, the owner/manager continued to scold the server as she (the owner/manager) waited on other customers. Her continuous reprimand was evident by the statement, “and make this the last time” with the meanest face and ugliest demeanor one could imagine. In addition, not only was she loud enough for anyone in the dining room to hear her, she had to pass by me to serve her customers and to return to the kitchen (more than 5 times). Not once did she greet me or acknowledge my presence; however she had the dirtiest look and disposition. I was baffled and disappointed. I asked the young lady if there was an issue with her serving me fresh pie and she stated “yes, we aren’t supposed to do that.” I apologized to her although she embodies a better attitude and approach for a customer service career. I understand the owner’s rationale being money and not wasting inventory, but apparently the server was aware of the lack of freshness of the pie just as much as all of us were who knew it was A WEEK OLD!! Unfortunately, today was...
