BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER… I got turkey and dressing, but as you can see from the pics it’s just wet cornbread ( no seasoning not even black pepper, onions, etc) and strips of turkey. No ROLLS even though I asked for them. Customer service SUCKED. Upon entering, the chick with black hair and double chin ( who’s at the register and always on her phone) will not greet you if your black. She will roll her eyes, and act like you’re invisible. THE WAIT TIME FOR THE SLOP I WAS SERVED WAS OVER 20 minutes. This isn’t SOUTHERN COOKING 🤮🤮. Please VIEW THE PICS AND BE JUDGE YOURSELF!

Went there because a couple of my co-workers wanted southern food. We were lucky enough that the place was pretty empty, just before lunch break. Server brought us cornbread and roll. They where pretty good. I ordered the southern fried steak, but, I wasn't surprised with it. I had the brown gravy and wasn't amused either. The coleslaw was ok, but the mac and cheese was awesome.

The overall dining experience at this new location is good, because of its cleanliness, and food quality, as well as the disposition of the waitress and her efficiency at getting our orders correct. The extra charge for processing credit cards, food proportions, and pricing didn't seem to fit the meal.

Went with a a friend last week and ordered grilled tilapia with Mac n cheese, green beans and sliced tomatoes. The service was horrible. Extremely long wait. Had to ask for things several times. Good was brought out but missing my Mac n cheese which didn't come until I was done. The fish was slimy and smelled funny so I returned it. Mac and cheese tasted a little off too..didn't return it as I was already done with my tomatoes and beans My friend ordered a 3 veggie plate which included potato salad that was spoiled. Had to sent it back as well. Then the cashier couldn't seem to figure out how to change my tilapia with 3 veg's to a 3 veg plate and was over charging me. She argued and had a bit of an attitude and attempted to overcharge my friend too. My friend and I used to be regulars, going as much as 3-4 times a week. Due to poor attitudes from the owner and staff, we don't go near as often but still enjoyed the food. However, lately, that seems to have gone way down as well as the service. There's hardly anyone ever there and it takes forever to get your food as well as refills or anything else asked for. The food isn't near as good as it once was. And they now charge for take out boxes too! The owner comes across as VERY greedy and it doesn't ever seem like they appreciate your business but more that you should be thanking them for being allowed to eat there! Sad to say, this used to be one of our favorite places to go but definitely not anymore You get more and better for your money choosing Fried tomato buffet, Cracker Barrell or the new place that recently opened,...

My ex wife and I used to go when it was on 155 in Mcdonough before, We would go to lunch sometimes, But then as soon as they moved to industrial in McDonough the place went down hill, My son and I went on my birthday and waited and the no one came to the table so we We left, The next time I went, I decided to get something to eat because I was by myself and I sat there and waited and waited no one came to my table for refills again there was 1 table with waitresses standing around talking,I finally got my food to go when it was ready,I still left a small tip,I got home and my counrty fried steak looked Ike a cheap TV dinner, also a few years before this we took my mother in law out for her birthday,we had a big party, almost 20,we ask for to go boxes and the waitress said they will be .25 cents a piece,we all thought she was kidding,on the way back from voting this morning I notice Souther cooking is back on 155 in Mcdonough where it used to be,one day I might give it another try but it was better before they moved to industrial here in Mcdonough,I just don't know why the place only had 2 people at a table but the waitresses was just talking, and I am the one that leaves...

I just stopped in, because I wanted to have a country breakfast. While the restaurant Decor is nice and the food was decent, I felt unwelcomed the moment I walked in. The waitress was short (not referring to stature) and rude. Was not knowledgeable about the food, and visibly upset when asked check on something. Decided that I would take my food to go, rather than sit in a place why did not feel welcome. When I received the check, I had been overcharged; to which the server seem to be annoyed to have to correct (after I had to show it to her on the menu), then claimed that it was the menu price that was incorrect. No "good by" or "thanks for coming". I was tempted to not leave a tip for the first time in over a decade, but decided otherwise. Folks really need to leave their Good Ol Boy, you ain't from 'round these parts attitude back home, when they come to the place of employment.

I have never left a negative review about a restaurant. If I take the time to write up a review, it has always been to give positive affirmation over a good dining experience... apparently there's a first time...
