Something to keep in mind as you never know until you get there, they're more setup for sit down dine in. You can order stuff too but just an FYI is all.
I wish they'd advertise or something, I live like 3 blocks away and get my hair cut at Monda's and I never knew this place was there!
I was hungry for something so I typed in Mexican and saw it was here, the raving reviews I had to check it out.
Generally, I've been a really big fan of Pedro's. Doesn't taste entirely authentic but it was really good. After today, I'll probably never go back to Pedro's.
This stuff was some of the best Mexican food I've had, in my hometown and Madison.
I got the dinner special which is a chile relanos (spelled wrong), tamale, taco and a softshell taco I think, I dunno, I was too busy inhaling everything because it was so delicious.
EVERYTHING tasted like it was hot as hell right off the grill. Super juicy meat.
There's a sauce they kinda put over everything, I've had it at other places and was never a fan and kinda turned me off when I saw they did it here too. Nope, I was wiping that stuff up with everything I could. It was actually really good.
Prices are decent. 7-10 bucks a plate(s). Mine was 11 bucks but came out on two plates, I'm so stuffed and came home with food for later lol!
Staff was super polite and nice.
I'll def be back, a lot, so much...
Read moreThe rice...the easiest item to get right...was dry and crunchy. I ordered at 2:50. The menu says lunch items are served until 3:00, but I was told lunch wasn't available. So, I ordered the exact same thing as the lunch item I wanted, except it was all ala carte... costing us more for the same meal. One of the tamales in my meal was mainly empty...smallest sliver of meat at the very bottom. Topping with only ground beef as the only option is a cheap copout. Most places offer pork or chicken as a topping for the same price we paid here. My boyfriend's burrito was salty and his rice was horrible, as well, obviously... The server who started with us is the one who told us lunch items weren't available. He seemed like he didn't want to be there and was unfriendly. The lady who took over at the shift change was much, much, much better!! So, I'm giving an extra star for service than I would have if he'd been our server the entire time. I intended to also order the flan but the experience was bad so I didn't want to stay for it. )Which means they lost out on a sale/higher bill.) The chips and salsa was great!! And the drinks were delicious. We ordered a margarita and a pina colada. I won't be back but I could recommend others go there for chips and salsa and...
Read moreI went to visit this place today looking to get some decent Mexican cuisine and I will NEVER come back. The server was very rude, very dry/blunt, and just had a very bad attitude. I ordered a beef quesadilla and when it came out the rice was very pale looking and didn't have the color that Mexican rice is known for having. The beef in my quesadilla tasted like chopped hamburger meat seasoned with only salt and pepper, no type of spice or flavor. My mother ordered a chicken enchilada plate. Her chicken in the enchilada was dry and flavorless and her rice was also pale looking. After taking a bite of the food and realizing how terrible it was I asked the server to grab the manager so we could talk to them about the issue. The manager never came to the table and pretty much just chose not to deal with the issue. Management didn't try to fix the issue nor did he care that our food was flavorless and thrown together. Terrible experience and never will I come back again. I don't reccomend this...
