Decided to try this place and overall it was a decent experience. Not great not bad somewhere in the middle. Allow me to explain. I ordered carry-out. The biggest issue I had was that when I called in to place my order I was placed on hold.....for 15 minutes 27 seconds (yes I really did take note of that) at which point I hung up and called back bc I really wanted to try this newly discovered locally owned restaurant. When I did the call was answered right away. The call taker was very polite and very helpful. Kudos for that. So I just assumed that given our current employment environment and how difficult it is to find good workers, that maybe they were just busy and understaffed. So I let this slide, however when I arrived to pickup my order I was slightly taken aback when I discovered they were only moderately busy with plenty of staff behind the counter. However the establishment was very clean, well organized, and the guests that were there all seemed to be enjoying their respective meals. So I chalked up the long hold time to nothing more than simple human error. That's ok these things happen. I didn't have to wait very long before my order was ready. The order looked fresh and well made. I ordered a large beef and cheese sticks. After I paid for my order I asked to speak with the manager and I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was speaking with the owners wife. I explained that unlike most people if I have a bad experience I actually take the time to speak with them and express my concerns in a polite informative manner. The only way for small businesses to learn and grow is to talk to them about any issues and afford them the opportunity to correct these issues moving forward. She was very kind and very understanding. She apologized for the long wait and assured me the issue would be brought to the attention of her husband. Even if my order was not good I would have been willing to try this establishment again simply bc of my interaction with her. Though the food was very delicious. Not only was it very fresh and very well made it was also very flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend giving this place a chance. I know I will be returning in future. Hopefully without the long wait or at the very least if there is a long wait they will check in with me every few minutes just to let me know they are busy and will be with me to take my order as soon...
Read moreUpdated 9/23- the owner reached out quickly and responded to the concerns. I appreciate talking with him and he did provide us with gift certificates for our next purchase. We haven’t used them just yet but plan to order for an upcoming birthday at the beginning of October!
I usually order with no hiccups. Last Saturday 8/28, we ordered a large steak hoagie, 2 Buffalo chicken salads, a tossed salad and 2 sides of fries. Out of those items the only thing correct was the steak hoagie. We didn’t receive one of the orders of fries, and each salad was made wrong. The tossed salad had lettuce cheese, and was SWIMMING with olives- no onions cucumbers or crouton like usual! The two things I asked to be removed were OLIVES and tomatoes. Our two Buffalo chicken salads each missing various vegetables like onions and tomatoes. One fry was missing. I called in and let the one girl know and she had taken my name number and passed my call to another. She even said she looked my order up since it was placed online. I was told there would be a $30 credit with my phone number. My order could not be refunded since the food wasn’t being returned. I asked how long for it to be remade and it was an hour and a half. I verified if we kept this order the credit would be applied to my next order, and the answer was yes “we are sorry there isn’t much we can do we are slammed.” I go to order my family’s dinner today and spent 20 minutes with another person saying my credit was never applied, there was no note of the incorrect order, and since she wasn’t there last week she could only offer a free side salad because there was nothing more that could be done. My family spends anywhere between $30-$50 weekly and I even order $20 weekly for lunches- you have lost...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience I just had to go through. They most certainly just lost SEVERAL customers after the service we were just provided. We ordered a large 5 cheese pizza, first time from doughboys. I have had amazing 5 cheese pizza. When this pizza arrived 🥴😳 me and my guest looked at it and said there’s no way someone looked at this pizza and thought this was acceptable to send to someone who spent money in your establishment. When I called I expressed their was so much cheese on this pizza and feta cheese WET FETA CHEESE the pizza is just consumed with cheese, it’s un edible and we would like a refund. The person who made the pizza is arguing, going back and forth saying that’s how they come, he made it personally himself after I asked did you see this pizza, explaining to me how he sold 4 today and ect. I’m sorry what do they have to do with me? I was put on hold 4 different times and then he said he will give me a refund. We haven’t had fast food in a long time and honestly we stopped ordering out. We decided to eat here, mind you it’s all the way in mckeesrocks. We live in Bellevue we got some good pizza places around here. Our order was $30 That should speak VOLUMES but it seems customer service is something that people don’t understand IS so important. They don’t care about it it’s about the money. Well I will not be returning to doughboys ever again! If your looking for a 5 cheese pizza DO NOT LOOK HERE! You will regret it…. I haven’t seen a 5 cheese pizza on their reviews or photos well here you go! This is what the person who made our pizza says it looks like and he made 5...
