The ice cream is unique and good flavors so we are happy with the product but the service at this location is substandard compared to the Melissa location which is always very positive with a smile and makes you feel welcome and valued.
A little goes a long way when it comes to making a basic effort to smile and greet the customer. If your order taker has a flatline personality, they should put him in a different position not dealing with customers.
The group of young people they have working at McKinney will literally just stand at the register and stare at you in silence when you reach the front of the order line and not greet you or ask if they can take your order. I guess they never properly trained them.
I am not expecting Chic-fil-A or McDonald's level of service but to just stand there without saying hello or how may I help you in just strange and sets the wrong tone for what is supposed to be a positive fun experience.
We live close to the new Lucas location so we hope Lucas will be a better experience. The attitude of this McKinney staff comes across as they would rather be doing something else.
It could be they just need a little more training in how to properly communicate with the clientele. I repeat the product is excellent but the service and atmosphere needs improvement to the point where it's worth driving to Melissa location instead. (the atmosphere is a result of the attitude of the staff).
I understand it may be difficult to hear this feedback but with a little more attention to expressing courtesy and cleaning the floor and tables more, this McKinney location could be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever greeted, wrong order on 3 separate occasions in 1 week! I will not be returning. I understand in 2024 employees have the privilege to use their cell phones, however it is never Ok to completely ignore a customer to remain on their phones! How does it take 4 employees to assist 1 customer? Answer: they don't. The young Manger stood on her cell phone while the other 2 stood there and looked at me and said nothing! I had to ask if I need to go through the drive through to get helped or can someone take my order?! Then I get a medium mango ice with chocolate speckles of someone's else's order contaminating my mango! Wtf. People don't understand these days without customers=no jobs! The last time I ordered a medium ice mango, I get a small mango gelati. My sin doesn't eat vanilla soft serve and that is not what I ordered. I informed the employees working and they said sorry about that, please pay $4 and change. Like money and time is free to blow? How about focusing on the customer and getting the order right? It doesn't take a Phd to make a cup of ice. The manager on her phone all day is a representation of the owners and lack there of. I'd rather drive from McKinney to Lucas for better service and the right...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had unpleasant experience today at this place. Very disappointed. Went to this place with 2 small kids. When we entered, no one was there and the music was playing so LOUDLY. When the waiter showed up, he couldnāt hear us, because of the loudly music, it wasnāt just a relax or kids friendly song, it was gangster music. This place an ice cream cafe, not a night club or restaurant, and instead of spending time with kids , expect at least respect to our request , to turn down or make it quieter, when we asked politely turn down the music or change to a different style/channel radio. Of course music is okay, as a family with two small kids, that came to eat an ice cream and spend a good time, where we can talk and hear each other. Again he ( the waiter) refused and replied he is not going to turn down the music at all. We left this place disappointed. This place is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Or maybe we were so lucky today with this disrespectful attitude towards us...
