La Cazona Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in McMinnville

Our family used to eat take out here every Sunday. My husband loves their green sauce and is the reason he liked eating their chicken nachos. The food and service used to be great. We quit eating here for a long time when the service changed. Today we tried ordering take out from there once again and the service was horrible. I went after work, ordered chicken fajita(single),chicken nachos, and a chicken quesadilla for $40 and tipped $5 then said I wanted to add 4 green sauces. He said okay but never said there was an extra charge, which I'd been fine with. Food came after about 10 mins. I reminded him about the 4 green sauce when he brought the bag. He went to get the sauces but brought back only 1. I asked if I could get 3 more? He said only 1 comes with it. I asked if I could get 2 more then for 1 with each meal. He said it'd cost extra so I bought 4 extra. He took my money, begins to walk off then turns to say, we're out are you ok with waiting while we make it? I said yes. Good thing I didn't mind waiting since I'd already paid for it. He comes back with a 4oz container and 2oz souffle cup. I said, can I get the other 1, I bought 4. He lies saying that is 4. Got another guy who came over and said, that's 4 bc that one's bigger. I said the receipt said 4: 2oz green sauces. This cup says 4oz and this one says 2oz. That's only 3 servings. He went back and got the other 1 at that point. I just wanted to go home and give my husband his food and the greensauces I ordered and they made it beyond difficult. Annoying I paid that much and tipped him only to go through all that nonsense.Thank God the food was good. They messed up my fajitas but it was in our favor. Found a chicken taco under what I thought was the fajita salad. Hope someone else didn't get my fajita's salad as their meal. We won't be back...

Only 1 stars,here's why. The food was excellent,but the service was the worst I've had in years. Asked for a few minutes to review the menu,our server said ok. Then it was like 15 minutes before he came back,maybe longer. Neither me nor my mother received a drink refill. Long after we finished eating,he came by and asked if I wanted a refill. I declined and asked for our check. So all together we waited at least 20 minutes for our check,on top of waiting at least 15 minutes uses for our order to be taken. This isn't rocket science,people lay their menus down,you ask if they're ready to order,they get low on drink,you refill. They finish eating,you ask if they're ready for the check. Simple. Then while we paid,the host talked the entire time to a lady that seemed to work there,while ignoring us as we paid. No thank you come back,or how was everything or any of that. And I ordered fajitas,the potholder thing on the handle of the skillet was crusted over with something. Filthy. The sign on their door says review on google,we'll here it is. Our server did fix us a to go order my mother wanted,so I tipped him 6$. He doesn't realize he could have made 10-15$ in tip from me if he had been worth tipping. I wasn't going to tip at all until he was prompt and courteous about the to go order. I tip well for good service,because it's not always an easy job. But this guy had no excuses,there were only 3 occupied tables...

This used to be my favorite place, but after the last 2 visits, I won't return. The last 2 times, I went with different friends on each occasion. However, on both occasions, we were ignored most of our visit. The first time, I still left a really large tip even though we weren't visited more than a few times at the table. But the last time, my friend and I ordered an appetizer dish without meat. When it was brought out, it had meat and my friend pointed it out. I apologized and explained that I am vegetarian and said I was extremely sorry. We would have gladly paid for the dish anyway so as not to cause trouble and because there was obviously a misunderstanding. Well, when the main dishes arrived later, I noticed my chips were somewhat soggy, but didn't want to complain. But when I looked over and saw the waiters and waitresses rolling with laughter and looking and pointing over at me and one looking shocked, I knew something must be up. I am guessing that they did something to my main dish though I'm not sure what. Probably my chips. I am sad and disappointed because I had done nothing but brag on this place. Now, I cannot. It is unfortunate really. And only 1 time has the guacamole live been made in front of me and that was when, I can only guess, it was the owners...
