Pollo Azteca — Restaurant in McMinnville

After a couple weeks of craving wings and seeing posts from these guys on social media of what appeared to be delicious food, we tried it tonight. We ordered online for pickup - pricing is good if you go through their site. Order was ready right on time. Now for the three stars - the food. The star was the lemon pepper chimichurri sauce. The most disappointing item was the garlic fries - they were overly saturated with oil that tasted vaguely of garlic and mostly of...oil. They were soggy and unappetizing. The regular fries were also soggy, but I've allowed an extra star because they had to sit longer than expected due to delays on our end - that being said, I think the garlic fries would be soggy no matter what. The chicken tenders were meh - on the dry side and bland without sauce. The wings had zero crisp and were also bland, even with sauce. The mild buffalo sauce took mild to a new level...more of a coloring agent for the chicken than flavoring. The tamarind BBQ sauce was ok, but we were left wanting there too. Overall, I've had better wings at the big chains and I've had better fries from a bag at the back of my freezer. Wishing it weren't the case, I really wanted to love this place. We will likely give it one more chance since there was a delay in pick up on our end...but that's not...

I heard that the Mac cheese was to die for here! There were two Mac junkies at my house and now there are three! I am not a Mac fanatic, never really got what all the excitement was about. Now I get it! Believe me when I say I was skeptical until I tried some! Even two days after purchase it was to die for! I got a $5 order of Mac for both of my Mac lovers and it was so much food there was leftovers even though they both ate until they were sore! This is without a doubt the best deal on lunch in town! The food is prepared by people who care about the quality of your experience which is also quite refreshing! I am sure the rest of their food is awesome as well! No food pictures this time. I could not do the food justice so I invite you to try it...
