Don't listen to any of these negative reviews clearly written by a bunch of spoiled Karens. I've been ordering from this place for YEARS and my food has always been properly cooked, has always been correct for me (and I place LARGE orders), tasted great and never rude staff. In comparison, the last 4 orders I placed from McDonald's in 1 MONTH were wrong and missing items!!! The last 50 orders I placed from Happy Garden were not wrong at all. Put that math in your negative reviews. It's a family owned business. In their culture family helps with the work. That's how it is. If you don't like it don't go there. I asked the older child who works the register if that was her dad cooking in the kitchen. She said "Yes" and nodded her head with the most proud smile on her face. I could tell she really respects her dad and she knows he works hard doing what he does. Because I place large orders...

1. I always tip big.
2. They offer a free refreshment. We really only drink water so I usually turn it down and feel bad about it. But one time they gave me a free 12 pack of can soda (because my son wanted it). And 3) The time they tell me for my food to be ready is never correct. I'm always waiting when I get there to pick it up. And that's fine. They do their best to determine how long a large order can take to be ready. Anybody who has a problem with that is experiencing first world problems and should check their American privilege and start being more humble and tolerant towards the facts of life. If your order from Happy Garden is so wrong 1 time, then I challenge you to order from McDonald's multiple times.

I hate to say this and give a bad rating because I used to LOVE eating their food. However the last few times I have ordered their vegetable Lo mein it has tasted bad. Today, we ordered a quart of veg lo mein, she said about 15-20min. We got up their in a lot less time and picked it up. After picking it up, it only took maybe 10min at the very most to get home and the it tasted HORRIBLE!! It was soggy and just nasty. We called and reported it, thinking maybe we can get a fresh order. Nope, apparently it’s our fault because we waited too long to eat it????!! Because apparently it was a fresh batch.... We instantly opened to eat it when we got back. If it takes more than 10min to delivery to someone and their food is fine, how is ours “fresh”?? When it is soggy within a 10 min range (again it was a bit less than 10min) between picking it up and opening it to eat it?

I am all for supporting local businesses and I will continue to do so when I can, but I probably will stop getting food here. We literally had to throw it away because it tasted that bad. I’m NOT saying do not eat here because their other food usually taste ok (gen tso, fried rice, egg rolls). However, I am warning people that this occurred and it may happen to you and you will NOT get a return of money or even get an actual fresh replacement. It will be “YOUR” fault it’s extremely soggy and nasty because you just didn’t eat it fast enough....

I ordered food for delivery. I placed my order and paid over the phone with my card and gave a tip as well. About 10 minutes after placing my order I received a phone call, and I was informed because I lived 5.3 miles away I must order $25 or more for delivery. If it were not for me being exhausted working at a hospital and my kids were hungry I would have went somewhere else. But my kids had their sites on Chinese so I ordered more food to reach the $25 limit. No where on there site does is mention having to order a certain amount of food for delivery by the way . It took over an hour for it to arrive. The lo-mein was greasy and had no flavor. The shrimp roll was greasy and soggy. The chicken wings were bland. I will not order from them again. We all have it tough. Stop being petty and greedy. Many Chinese places I have noticed have become overly priced and the customer service has gotten horrible. I will find businesses who appreciate there customers more...
