★★★★★ Outstanding Community Resource with Exceptional Service

The Simpson Library has become our family's second home, and for good reason. This review comes from a frequent visitor who, along with their children, has experienced firsthand the remarkable services and atmosphere this library offers.

What truly sets Simpson Library apart is its exceptional staff, particularly in the children's section. Ms. Krista stands out as an invaluable resource, consistently going above and beyond to help young readers find their next favorite book. Her knowledge and dedication to fostering a love of reading in children is evident in every interaction.

The library's technological amenities make the experience seamless. The self-checkout system is efficient and user-friendly, perfect for those quick visits when you're juggling multiple books and young children. But what's truly impressive is their integrated library network system. Being able to order books from other libraries in the network significantly expands the available collection, and the auto-renewal feature is a game-changer for busy families. No more daily portal checks or stress about late fees!

As a family that previously spent considerable money purchasing books, we've found an incredible alternative here. We regularly check out 30-50 books at a time, giving our children access to a constantly rotating collection of new reading material. This not only saves money but also allows our children to explore a wider variety of literature than we could have afforded to purchase.

The value this library brings to our community cannot be overstated. It's more than just a building with books – it's a welcoming space that promotes learning, discovery, and literacy for all ages. Whether you're a parent looking for children's books, a student needing study resources, or simply someone who loves to read, Simpson Library delivers an outstanding experience.

For anyone who hasn't visited yet, you're missing out on one of our community's finest resources. The Simpson Library has transformed how our family accesses and enjoys literature, and we're deeply grateful for this excellent...

We used to borrow about 12 books every other week from the Fredricksen library for my son. We always keep the reciept and make sure we return every single item to the library. In March, the library told us that we owed 8 books to the library. That was a suprise since we were pretty sure that we had returned everything. A couple of days later, we contacted the library again, and the librarian told us that they had found two of the missing books but we still owed 5 books. So, we kept dealing with this issue during the past two months. Finally, there were 3 books missed. The manager told us that they had removed the fines for us since it could be the problem on their end during the COVID. However, we got a notification from the Simpson library yesterday saying that we still owe money to the library system. My wife called the Simpson library today. A librarian, Luann, implied (with a contemptuous tone) that we lost library books but tried to avoid punishment. This is very insulting and my wife is sobbing in front of me now. We really appricated the service we got before, but it seems that my family's reputation has been damaged by the library's mistake, even we spent hours to help them deal with...

The Simpson Library which is a part of the Cumberland County Library system is an excellent library to visit. It is 3 stories with 2 sets of stairs and an elevator plus a loft. The main level is where the movies, music, and game discs are along with several computers and the reference section. Downstairs is the kids area which is nicely stocked. The upper level has the teens, fiction, mystery, non-fiction, science fiction, western, newspapers, and magazines. This is also where the loft is located. The are many meeting or tutoring rooms throughout. The library staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. There currently are some restrictions due to the coronavirus, so ask or visit their website. The Simpson Library is a great example on why you should have a...
