Hubby and I discovered the Simpson Diner via an article on the Patriot News digital site, PennLive. Simpson Diner offers an extensive menu for breakfast all day, lunch, and dinner, with Chalkboard specials listed daily for breakfast and dinner. I especially love that this newbie dining experience is locally owned and operated, according to our wait staff member Chris, who was friendly and didn't mind answering our questions about the menu and restaurant ownership. Hubby enjoyed the healthy choice of Mediterranean Haddock, and I opted for a diner classic: the Patty Melt with fries. There were no disappointments here; both were fresh and tasty. We plan to return to experience the all-day breakfast.

First time here since it's opening. Restaurant is oddly laid out with a few seats in the front and the rest of the seats are in what feels like a separate space down a hallway. It feels like they didn't do any renovation before opening and it was really dirty. The waitress was nice. I ordered chicken tenders and got super hard chicken that seemed to be chicken tenders cut in half. See pics. My partner ordered a panini but got a slice of ham and chicken on an untoasted sub roll. Disco fries were good. We might try it again in a few months but not again anytime soon. So disappointing.

Ordered on Sept 22nd 2 meatloaf dinners 1 shrimp basket with rice 1 Philly steak sub Via Doordash I cannot begin to express how horrible the food was to the family. After spending $70 the two meatloaf dinners had to be thrown away. Both meatloaf dinners were RAW!!!! I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MAD I AM. Not only were they raw THEIR NOT MEATLOAF, THEY ARE HAMBURGER PATTIES. IM SO DISGUSTED WITH SIMPSON DINNER AND DOORDASH. Not only the meatloaf dinner was messed up, so was the shrimp basket with rice. I got fries instead. So upsetting.

I personally do not recommend dining here. The restaurant has a very bizarre lay out, it is not clean l. I ordered a water and it tasted terrible should’ve just ate egg sandwich at home. Then asked for a soda. I ordered eggplant parm and it was less than desirable. I was only able to eat a few bites and the food because it made me sick to my stomach. My husband ordered a panini and what was brought out was not a panini. We both left our meals uneaten. The sever took 50% off our bill. I am now home with a terrible stomach ache. Some people should not own restaurants, it’s not for everyone. Or a least know what your cooking. Please train staff how to cook menu items that are ordered and to know what the items that are being ordered are supposed to look like. Very...

You’ll walk in to what appears to be a tiny cafe. Then the hostess will take you back to the dining room where it’s bright, spacious and clean. Our first visit was for dinner on a Saturday night. I got Club Panini w/fries. Hubs got spaghetti and meatballs. The following morning we went back to try breakfast. I got scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, biscuits w/side of sausage gravy. Hubs got western omelette, which he said was the best he’s had. All of our meals were generous sizes and the food was great quality and served hot. Coffee and atmosphere were good as well. We had two different servers and both were friendly and did their jobs well. We now have a new...
