I have been a very good customer for 40 years. This is the second time I brought back cookies that were not up to standards. The first was Toni's Own, which we love when fresh and today was the champagne cookies, which are my all time favorite. They were not as fresh as usual. The store owner and other employees made me feel like a criminal for bringing them back and even said, "We will not take them back because you've done this before. They should have said so sorry it's happened a second time. One employee went as far as to say "We don't care if we lose you as a customer. We have 100 more". Now I had just spent 130.00 day before Christmas and instead of welcoming me back and saying sorry your $3.00 bag of cookies were not satisfying, they made me feel awful. So wrong! i will not go there again. Fortunately we have Bob's and Arthur's right down the street. I have never had to bring anything back there. Bad Customer Service for La Cascia's! Sad a person would make you feel so small! What happened to the customer is always right!! You lost a very good customer whether you...

I went in with my husband who is African-American ( I write this because I think that's the reason of our poor treatment), we asked for some cheese pizza and it was not out. The guy at the counter told us that there was a fresh tray coming out from the oven in a few minutes, so we waited. A few minutes later he asked us again what we wanted and then he went in the back and brought out a box with two pieces of pizza. My husband grabbed it and when we sat down to eat we realized that it was two "old" cold pieces of pizza! Then, in the meantime he brought out a fresh, intact tray ! Who does that?! At that point my husband complained and he got no apologies or explanation. Another guy gave us two new pieces, I threw in the trash. I will never buy anything from them. I do not support racist business. AS an Italian born and raised in Italy, I am ashamed by the treatment we received in an Italian-American business....
Read moreLow score for terrible customer “service” by some tall blue-eyed guy over there. A pleasant employee assembled my cookies in a box and had to go attend to another customer (he was the hard worker type). The tall blue-eyed guy was meant to finish off, ring me and move on. Instead he just stood there, said nothing, done nothing - time for a break I guess. Leave the customer waiting. The employee who served me first came back later surprised, and told the guy how come you didn’t ring him. His reply: well I don’t know what you did for him and continued to stand there still doing nothing. Pleasant guy rang me, and I was off. The cookies were nice, the usual Boston Italian recipe stuff (nothing close to real Italian food), and the guy who served me was pleasant, but something about that tall blue-eyed guy was a blemish to the experience and that’s the stuff that turns people like me away from doing more...
