This place is the best in town, at least for their al Pastor, in my opinion. The Torta al Pastor is GIGANTIC (think 2 full separate meals) and is delicious. All their tortas are HUGE. Very reasonably priced, too. $9, I believe. The meat is well seasoned and has roasted pineapple pieces on the sandwich, as well as a pile of meat, and other toppings.
Their salsa station has 3-4 home made salsas ranging from avocado mild to habañero hot, with a couple in between. The bright orange one is habañero, while the medium red one is more mid-level spice and roasted tomato tasting-ish.
As well, most of their tacos are $2 each. Most other places are $3 each, so the meal is very economical. On a plate of tacos, you also get pickled carrots, jalapeño, onions that really completes the meal. They also have burritos, huaraches, sopes, breakfast burritos, horchata and limonadas and a few other types of preparations. Lots of working people eating here at lunch, from construction workers to 'urban professionals.' This place is 110% good. Eating is at outdoor covered picnic tables or take out.
It's across the street from Cartwright's on the Stewart Avenue/King Street corner. Park behind the metal fencing in their private parking lot. Signed,...
Read morenothing less then perfection here! The best REAL tortas I've ever had by a long shot. Speaking of tortas, just a heads up, even if you've ordered a torta somewhere else here in Medford, then it was likely a fake and you may of at best thought it was ok. I have tried several other trucks and restaurants here in town only to get something that looked nothing and more importantly tasted nothing like a geniune tortas. However, You will have an authentic torta experience that you won't soon forget and if you've never had one or if all the ones you've had were fake, then take comfort in knowing that you'll be an expert judge on torta authenticity after just one from La Torta loca. they are on special every Wednesday for only $5 Good luck friends....
Read moreI love me some tacos from this place and my son loves the torta laca. I buy the 30 taco pack to feed the family, and they have the best avacado salsa and other hot spicy salsa. I love spicy and this place really give ypu spicy. But they do have mild or no salsa if you like. They dont put the salsa on your food they let you do it. All their salsas are on a table to serve yourself. I like that cause at some places they add it or not, but they dont give you a choice of different salsas like this place does. And believe it or not, some trucks charge you extra if you want any. They w I nt add it to your food they just charge you for the tiny cup of salsa that are not even spicy. This place does not do that. Their prices are a4e geeat and...
