Puck's Donuts — Restaurant in Medford

Puck's what to say about this place... They make a damn fine variety of Donuts... I first stared coming here when the wife wanted a Bacon Maple Bar... Mmmmm they are GOOD!!! It is a doughnut shop pretty straight forward. The products are ALWAYS fresh and top quality. Other than the Maple Bacon they don't try to get too crazy or fancy. They DO have a couple rings that are glazed with the various glazes and then have things like Fruit Loops on them or some other sugary cereal on them. It is my guess they started those because of Portland transplants or Portland travelers and they wanted something they get at home at Voodoo Donuts where they are all about getting freaky crazy with it... Where as Voodoo is ALL about the crazy and over the top (at the cost of waiting hours in line for a damn doughnut) Puck's is just about serving a damn fine, fresh product. I am a fan of their Apple Fritters as well. They have a good arrangement of items from a straight old sugar glaze rings or twists to your Old Fashioned rings. The wife is a fan of the Chocolate Glazed Chocolate Devils Food (what woman DOESN'T like chocolate on chocolate foods!!!). Make sure get there rather early because they close when the last doughnut is served and, some days, that is PRETTY quick. Also, if you want the REALLY good items... you should get there probably...

Here's the thing when I'm looking for donuts. I don't want those fancy gimmick donuts. I want the donuts the my grandpa used to take me too, The hole in the wall that you could sit and drink cups of coffee for a quarter and the donuts were so fluffy they seemed to melt in your mouth. Being newer to Medford I've had my eye out and low and behold on this rainy day I've found it.
