I know a lot of people read reviews because they want to know what's good and what items to avoid at restaurants. I can't tell you what items to avoid. I believe it's physically impossible for Rosario's to make a bad item or even a blah dish. Every dish I get from them is always, "this is my new favorite." It's actually kind of annoying...it just keeps making the decision so much harder. So I always do the responsible thing and try something new when I can't decide between all my "new favorites." If you want knock your socks off, delicious Italian food you just need to go to Rosario's! Literally everything we've ever had from Rosario's has always been extremely delicious. We absolutely love Rosario's not only for the food, but also for the awesome staff and truly amazing owner. When Covid shutdown dine in eating Rosario's stepped up and started delivering (maybe they did it before but we didn't hear about it before Covid). We luckily live close enough that we are within their delivering area. The owner knows Google sometimes sends them to the alley behind our house and sometimes to our front door...so yes we order from them a lot. We have never once had a blah meal. Delivery is always HOT and very FRESH, not cold like it's been riding around in a vehicle for an hour. Tonight we again decided Rosario's was a MUST for dinner after our crazy week. Sadly Rosario's is also suffering staffing shortages. However that did NOT stop us. We ordered for takeout. Again it was hot, fresh and awesome. Of course I couldn't make up my mind again so I tried ANOTHER new item. Tonight I ordered the pesto chicken calzone. Now this is my issue...turns out Rosario's makes the most epically amazing pesto EVER! So now I have another "new favorite." This just isn't fair! How am I supposed to ever pick a favorite if they keep turning out all these ridiculously amazing dishes!?!?!
Hats off to Rosario's for all the delicious food, and for never disappointing! Please let me know when I can buy gallon size buckets of your pesto and...
Read moreWe have been here a few times now and have eaten in as well as picked up order to go. We have also ordered numerous items from menu when we ate in to take home for additional meals later on. All the food was awesome except for one major issue that makes us no longer happy to come here. I do not tolerate pepper such as black, white, or cayenne/red pepper and keep asking for no pepper. I have also asked for no red marinara sauce (since I know it is peppered also) and keep asking for extra garlic or Alfreda sauce (with less added pepper) but EVERY time we still get items with pepper in them. Just our last order which was a to go one, I asked for white sauce and no red/marinara sauce in my florentine calzone but later at home when I tried to eat it the sauce was red (with pepper of course). I’ve tried to even just order items that would be easy to not add pepper such as carbonara but again got it with red pepper in it. I’m not talking about bell peppers-those are sweet and ok. I wonder if you actually can produce any item without pepper or any hot type of spice. I’m sorry because we love all the menu items and your staff is so friendly and helpful but I just wish your cook/chief would leave the pepper (black/white/red flake) out of the dishes. Folks like my husband that like hot spicy food can always add pepper but folks like me that can’t tolerate it are not able to enjoy your food. Because of this and our numerous requests for no pepper and still getting peppered food, I have to give you a poor review. If you like hot spicy food-you will enjoy this restaurant but if you can’t tolerate hot spicy peppered food like me-forget going to...
Read moreRosario's is the very best Italian food in Medford.
I've been going to Rosario's for over 20 years. I hadn't been in a couple of years because of poor health. When a friend asked me to go there for dinner I jumped at the chance.
If anything it was better than I remembered. The service was stellar from the moment we went through the door.
We went early knowing it's Friday night. My friend uses an electric wheelchair which was also why we went early. He tries to be sensitive to small restaurants needing to move tables. The manager didn't bat an eye giving us a four top.
The food was amazing. Starting with the roasted red pepper soup. I'm not a bell pepper fan no matter the color. But it's Rosario's, I had to try it. It was the bomb.
I had Baked Mastaoccholi (I hope I spelled it correctly) and it was great! Baked penne, cheese, three kinds of sauce. Oh my goodness! Because it's Rosario's I have dinner for tomorrow also.
My friend had spaghetti and meatballs. That might sound boring when there are so many choices. However, until you've had their spaghetti and meatballs you must reserve judgement.
From the aroma when you walk through the door, to the bread to the soup to the meal, the atmosphere and the best waitress there just isn't...
