My wife and I recently dined at the Epic/Double Decker restaurant, and I have to say that my experience left me feeling quite disappointed. The restaurant offers a unique approach to ordering, with a stand-up kiosk at the entrance where you place your orders. However, the extensive menu options made the ordering process quite time-consuming.

Despite the somewhat overwhelming menu, the staff was very friendly and eager to help, which was a positive aspect of my visit. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm quickly waned when I encountered a technical issue. The kiosk failed to connect to the credit card server, and as a result, I had to reorder everything at the counter. However, to her credit, the counter person, sensing my frustration, photographed the kiosk screen and input the order for me.

My main dish, the inside-out pizza, was a letdown. It arrived barely cooked, with the onions still raw, the pepperoni uncooked, and the cheese not properly melted. It felt like a major oversight in the kitchen. To make matters worse, the prepackaged tableware provided was so tiny and flimsy that it was practically useless. I went back and asked for replacement utensils and they had better quality plastic forks and knives behind the counter. The food was served in paper lined plastic baskets, which is not much fun to eat from.

However, there was a silver lining to my meal—the Buffalo tenders were quite good. The flavorful sauce and well-cooked chicken tenders provided a satisfying contrast to the rest of my experience.

On the downside, the cleanliness of the tables left much to be desired, as they were not very clean. It was disappointing to see this lack of attention to detail.

In summary, my visit to Epic/Double Decker had its highlights, such as the friendly staff and the tasty Buffalo tenders. However, the technical issues with the kiosk, the undercooked pizza, and the inadequate tableware, not to mention the cleanliness of the tables, left me with an overall sense of disappointment. I hope the restaurant can improve these aspects to offer a more satisfying dining experience...

We stopped here on the way to visit my in-laws. We sat down and waited for our pizza. We were the only customers there. They seemed very busy, maybe they were working on online orders.

After we waited longer than expected, I went up to check, the guy who was making the pizza asked me: ”How long have you been waiting for?” I said I did not track, but felt long. He then looked at something and said I had been waiting for 15 minutes. Honestly I could not verify. He then said: “ Do you want your pizza under-cooked? “ Before I said anything, he continued to say that he could take it out, cut it and give it to me. He sounded extremely rude and threatening as if I was at his mercy to have a properly cooked pizza. I then said I did not want the pizza under-cooked and asked how much longer it would take, he said in his professional opinion it would take additional 2-3 minutes. I said ok and walked back to my table.

I have never experienced a restaurant treating its customers this badly in the past 30 years. I am extremely disappointed. If he had said it would only take another 2-3 more minutes and thanked us for waiting or told us the expected waiting time from the beginning, we would have been fine.

The pizza tasted good, the customer service failed. It...

I hate to give this place a bad review but the quality has gone down. They have these new crazy cups that have no lids and you have to fold them. They are so flimsy. No straws. You have to drink out of it like a 10 year old drinking your soda out of a milk carton. Dumbest thing ever. The soda prep station was destroyed with soda because every customer had trouble trying to fold their cups. I’m speechless. This is not a Karen rant. I am speechless at not only the cup design but that management would use these. Seriously enough of a reason to not go. Every customer was complaining when I was there. Also, served one of us food and the rest of us waited for 20 min. Literally 4 people in the entire restaurant. Other person in our party finished their meal and we still didn’t have any food. Ridiculous.

Update……28 min later. Are you kidding me? This is a $16 chicken sandwich?!?! You can go to so many better places for better food. I’m sorry. Someone just told me while sitting here that this is under new ownership. Well I hope they read this. Sorry , I really do hate posting reviews like this because I am a business owner but this entire experience was awful and evident I wasn’t the only one...

It had been a longggg time since I'd been to Double Decker, but I remembered how good this inside out pizzas were. I just happened to be in the area for a showing and had my fiance with me. We were both hungry after my showing and it dawned on me that this place was nearby so we went and it did not let my memory of it down! We split one Buffalo chicken inside out pizza and one Hawaiian inside out pizza and an order of fries. The inside out pizzas come almost as a personal calzone. All the meat and cheese are on the inside and the dough is wrapped around it and then baked and fried so that they nice and crispy when it comes out. When you cut into them the cheese slowly oozes out. I finished both of my halves easily. My fiance however had to bring some home. I tried to finish it for her but she wasn't having it. Oh and the fries were really good too. Nice and thick but still really crispy. My clients are solely looking to buy in media so this may have to be my stop on the way home for now on lol.
