My first time there today, but I will DEFINITELY be back! Food was outstanding, as well as the friendliness and courteousness from the owner and chef. The burgers and fresh cut fries that my kids had were delicious. I opted for the Italian beef combo with a side of chili and was not disappointed with any of it! The Italian beef came with au jus sauce for dipping, and the chili had just the right amount of heat to it that my kids didn't cry when they tasted it! Great food, great prices, great people. Well worth a visit! We were given a free sample of one of the salsas that they make in house with some chips while we were waiting for our food to be ready. Really a good experience overall.

Might consider this spot a hole in the way, but some of the best places always are. The double cheeseburger has a great classic taste and will definitely fill up the average eater. The Italian beer is surprisingly good but missing the most key Chicago ingredient, the giardiniera. Gotta have the option for hot, sweet or both in order to call it an Italian beef, otherwise it’s just a French dip. Overall, though, the food is solid and at a good price point.

We really enjoyed this place! We went on a Saturday night and sat on a picnic bench on the patio! Our food was excellent! We had some delicious steaks and fries! The fries were like fair fries! Yummy! They were the best! We also had cinnamon donuts! They were just made and warm! Excellent! The prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly! We want to go back and try the hamburgers because we heard they’re very good!

This used to be one of our go-to establishments. If we wanted burgers, this is where we went. They were delicious, they were amazing and the atmosphere was great. Unfortunately it will be a while, if ever, that we do return.

The prices went up which is understandable considering todays economy, BUT the quality went way down. Our food was given to us and we had to ask more than once for condiments. We asked for the burgers to be loaded, per our usual order - they came out as two patties and some lettuce, one may have had onion nothing else!!!! SO very inconsistent.

The inside used to be quaint, now it looks like the inside of someone's storage area in their basement - clutter is all around - no rhyme or reason to any of it.

The owner and waitress were drinking, which is fine I suppose if they could take care of the customers while doing so, BUT they were laughing that they forgot to take drinks to patrons. The owner was watching his son play baseball on TV and literally stood there for at least five minutes holding a patrons drink - refusing to take it outside until the baseball inning was over.

The owner was directly in front of us YELLING to the other side of the bar to his friend. It went on and on and on until my husband had to ask him to stop.

We felt very akward and unwelcome in a place that used to...

Terrible! The part owner that was doing the cooking is the rudest, sloppy, unprofessional owner I have ever ran in to in all my years of dining out. You would think that being part owner of an open kitchen restaurant would give you the insight to take a shower and clean up before going to work as well as to not be rude when answering a question posed by a customer. After such rudeness I decided not to order ...but my son and his family had already ordered. I didn’t want them to leave without eating, so my husband, granddaughter and myself sat at the table with them. After a half an hour of waiting ...and the order in front of them had still not been served ...we couldn’t wait any longer because he needed to leave for work. I might also mention ...since it wasn’t done right away ...this half an hour plus wait gave management ample time to make an apology for their rudeness. Of course there was no such apology ...he could not care at all. We left ...with no food ...but they have payment of my sons order. I will update if a refund/cancel of the cost is made.

We will not return. I urge you not to eat here. With such uncleanliness, and such rudeness ...I suggest that you can’t chance the quality of the food you...

If you are looking for a nice frosty mug of beer this spot will give you that. As for the food...it was good when it first opened. the "Italian hoagie/French dip" WAS good in flavor and size...now it was on a soft half of the original sized bun with 3 very thin slices of unflavorful meat that you couldn't even see when the bun was closed. We also got a gyro which was ok for GFS gyro kit which was told to us by owner but, it was just small amount of the meat. The fries were dark and very visibly oily. When asked for ketchup was given a basket with a mixture of packets of various labels like what they may have collected from other restaurants. Asked for salt and was told there should be some packets in the basket, dig through and if not, just yell. The owner, "cook", and a patron just drank and sampled various drinks from the cooler. We waited for him to come back, for refills or bill until we were finally told we could yell across room for him. Bar yes...diner for food NO!! Please update photos of food...
