Griddle's Cafe — Restaurant in Medina

Huge portions and ]very reasonable pricing. Service is horrible. Three waitresses and the two owners. All like to shoot the bull with friends while we waited to be seated. Coffee refills non existent. Food on the floor. We pushed over to the side but waitress stated she was too busy to sweep it up so we picked it up with a napkin. Stop in and enjoy. They won't be in business long if they won't give you a reason to come back. They don't care if you show up or not. ..need to change fast to earn customer base. Too bad, could be nice.

Monday May 2, friend of mine and I have looked the other way and continued to give it a chance becoming regulars for several months.Got to be friendly with the owner and her one daughter. Thought they were trying hard until we sat down, ordered coffee and orange juice...10 minutes later it arrived. Drained a cup of coffee waiting and asked the very distinctive hostess if we could place our order. Her answer, "Sorry, I don't take orders." Totally rude behavior in front of other customers who looked at us and rolled their eyes. We then grabbed the first server, handed our credit card to her for a whopping $4.50 bill, ran the card, and she never asked what she could do to help. She let us walk away unhappy.Our bills normally average $15-$25 and always a $10 or $15 tip. Never once thanked or acknowledged for the tip. Wait staff spends too much time rolling silver ware and not enough asking how to make a customer more comfortable so you'll want to come back. Food is nice but worst service in Medina. That's two...

Been wanting to visit the place since they opened there was a sign out front that said there soup of the day was I thought I wanted to try it out. Walked in seemed kind of busy but not overwhelming waited about 10 min server asked what I wanted to drink I said coffee she brought it about 10 min later she asked if the other girl had taken my order I said no I will give her credit she was going pretty fast and with other employees just standing around I was patient I saw what was going on. It wasnt even near closing and I asked for the soup and was going to get breakfast she said they were out of soup if I would have known that I would have left before the coffee so I do not know how the food was I said why dont you take the sign down outside no real answer so I dont know if I will ever go back I know never judge a place on one visit but 15 years in the restaurant business I saw what was going on where was the boss? I have been to every diner from Strongsville to Lodi where the owner would come out and ask how everything was but not here So dont believe the sign out front and hope for the best...

I've ordered takeout from this place three times , and two times I've had issues. first time , my breakfast toast wasn't toasted at all, witch wasn't much, the rest was great. 2nd time I had no toast or bread, and my daughter had no butter or syrup for her underdone blueberry pancakes . So when I called up to complain about missing food / condiments the lady got real defensive , and said I didn't order toast, but on the menu it said it comes with toast. she didn't want to hear it. so here I am writing this review. sadly the food is way better than the service , but the service will stop me from coming back...

.........................well when I did call back and tried to explain that your (The home style) came with toast, the only thing I've got was screaming from your waitress . I didn't use any profanity during my PHONE CALL . so its crazy that your customers heard me. when your employee was doing all the yelling. she did so much I hanged up on her! so its crazy that you blow off my review because of your lack of attention to detail and your LACK OF GOOD...
