The outside of the building is not the most eye catching, but we decided to try the location out for Fatherās Day. Firstly, we booked a reservation. While it is not required, we wanted to make sure we had a spot with it being Fatherās Day. When we walked in, the lighting was dim, which we appreciated. Friendly wait staff with minimal customers when we arrived at 2pm. Plenty of parking available. For anyone wondering, you do not have to purchase hibachi items when sitting at the hibachi table. The server was attentive to refills. Now on to the food: the portions are definitely worth the cost. What we ordered.. Shrimp tempura-came with miso soup, salad, and rice. There was also fried vegetables included as well: broccoli, onion, sweet potato, and zucchini. 5/5 Calamari hibachi dinner entree: fried rice was picked, assortment of veggies, 2 pieces of shrimp and calamari pieces. Do not get this if you are not a fan of plain/buttered calamari. Also came with miso soup and a salad. We enjoyed it. 5/5 Salmon hibachi dinner entree: 2 pieces of salmon. Udon noodles was picked for this one. Veggies. Miso soup with salad (it comes with a ginger dressing). 5/5 Steak and chicken hibachi dinner entree: ordered a medium steak, which honestly we should have ordered it medium rare. The flavor is still there though. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Fried rice, veggies, miso soup, and salad were included. Also included with all the meals: yum yum sauce and another sauce that I can not remember the name of. Our cook was definitely entertaining and respected our wishes of not wanting the liquid squirted in to our mouths. We were welcoming to the veggies though. He was child friendly as well! We did get seated with another family, but it was great! Will definitely go back to try the other selections.
Pros: great portions, friendly staff, great selection, enjoyable atmosphere
Cons: loud environment, steak was cooked a little more than medium
If you would prefer chopsticks over a fork, just ask your server and they will get them for you!
Lastly, we did not order dessert, but it did look amazing as the family next to us ordered it while celebrating birthdays, which was fun as well!!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot vegan friendly! I ordered the veggie hibachi. I told the waitress before the chef came out that I did not want my food cooked in butter and that I donāt eat animal product (they cook in oil instead). She said they would have to cook it in the kitchen and I was fine with that. She comes back out a couple minutes later with everybodyās soup and salad and doesnāt give me anything because it has oil in it and tells me that I can only have steamed rice and steam veggies and I asked why they couldnāt cook it with oil. She said that it was because I requested no oil. I told her that cooking it in oil was fine, just donāt use animal products. She proceeded gave me an annoyed look and said āno, you said no oilā. I just let it go and told her oil was fine, just no animal products. When she brings out my food, guess what is in my rice... Eggs š I was able to grab her attention and told her that there was eggs in my rice and that I want no animal products what so ever. She gave me another snobby look and took the plate back to the kitchen. Finally my plate came back the way I wanted it. Overall I am just upset at how big of a deal she made over the situation. My dietary preferences apparently put a damper in her day. If she canāt handle special requests then she shouldnāt be a waitress. Will be going to Shintos instead. They were far more understanding of my dietary preferences and got it correct the first time. They even made my food with everybody elseās (they just made mine first) so I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family recently went for my brother and sisters 12th birthday party, going to your restraunt instead of Shintos located in Strongsville. Iāve personally been to both before and experienced things like this, but Shintos takes the win for sure. Our waiter was extremely good, Iād give him a 5 star. I donāt think itās fair that they have to split the tips with the cook because not all are very good at all. We could not understand a single word that he said, he knew (we think) that it was their birthday and had NO enthusiasm, barely any with the ātrainā (wasnāt even built correctly). Compared to shintos, overall I think you have good chefs, but need to clean out the ones that donāt care or put no effort into their work. Cooking the vegetables last and giving them to us hard and not tasteful was disappointment, as well as how we had to ask for him to serve us āyum yumā sauce. Just giving some advice for future reference because we were all not pleased other than the waiter. Thanks...
