The Original Steaks and Hoagies - Medina — Restaurant in Medina

I will share that The Original Steak And Hoagies has sentimental meaning to my wife and I .So when I learned of one opening in Medina I was happy.We have never bought from the ones further out in quite some time and not with our sons until this one opened.Initially I stopped in for a take out menu and they were in the process of cleaning up beacause they were closed .Yet there was courtesy extended to me by the 3 people there and that matters.So I promised my family this was a definite take out plan .On Thursday I made good on the promise everyone on the staff was courteous and I was overwhelmed by it .The order for our family was perfect , no mistakes even with our special requests.We were happy with the taste and portions.This was a to go order and the food was still hot when we arrived back home.I did stop in Saturday night to mention that my family and I were happy with the service and the food.The staff genuinely appreciated my sincerity and because of this we will be return patrons when possible for as long as the food and courtesy remains as stellar as it is now.We do have our favourites and now this is on our go to list when possible.Thank You...

Lots of polarizing reviews with this place but the overall consensus seemed to be that the cheesesteaks were good so, we gave it a shot.

Happened to walk in on a Sunday funday deal - 4 large cheesesteaks, 4 fries and 4 drinks for $40, so basically fries and drinks were free. Worked out great for us.

As I was hoping, the cheesesteaks were pretty good. Everyone enjoyed theirs. There were two people running the show and both were very nice. Took about 15 minutes from when we ordered until we got our meal but it was a larger order so I was okay with it.

Meat was chopped up pretty fine and you had the choice of wiz, provolone or white cheddar. You also had the usual toppings available. We got a variety and everyone was pretty happy with them. We got ours to go so the bread ended up being a tad soggy like others have mentioned but it didn't ruin the sandwich. Fries were solid as well and an unusual but tasty selection of drinks

I'm also chiming in with what everyone else is saying. Back in Summer of 2020 this place was very good. I am not sure what happened but quality has tremendously gone downhill. We used to go here at least once a month when they first opened but between getting our meals incorrect the past 5 times we've been, food quality not being the greatest(like paying $5 for cajun fries that have barely any cajun seasoning on them), and the absolute lack of any Covid precautions(no one in the whole place was wearing a mask) today's meal from here will probably be the last. I would try again if it was just the first two but paying $30 for 2 sandwiches and a couple of sides... I'd rather go somewhere that I know the staff and patrons are being safe about Covid. I'm not sure what happened but I'm hoping this place goes back to being how awesome...
