Passantino's Concert Cafe — Restaurant in Medina

Listen up West Tennessee! If you love the classic foods of Chicago but the drive to the Windy City is just a bit out of reach then head to Medina and check out Passantino's!!! We arrived just as they opened and were greeted by not only the wonderful smells but also by the amazingly friendly and engaging ownership/staff. Josie, Tina, and Vito (no, Vito, you're not chopped liver) are people who know how to make you feel welcomed and truly love what they do!! The hospitality and food were so great I forgot to take pictures of the food but then again photography is not something you attempt when you have the delicious Au Jus from the Italian beef sandwich all over your hands. Besides, if you're familiar with the famous foods of Chicago you don't need photos because these folks know how to meet expectations!! Don't skip on dessert!! The cannoli is just the best!! From the bread to the beef Passantinos uses items direct from the local Chicagoland area such as Vienna beef. Be sure to wash it down with some of their sweet tea. We can't wait to go back and check out the local music and really encourage anyone who is homesick, curious, or just in the mood for a good time and good food to check out Passantinos!!...

I am from Chicago. I have been craving true Chicago food since I've moved to Tennessee. I have found it! This is the best Italian Beef sandwich that I've ever had, including from Chicago. You know it's Chicago when you see the Vienna beef logo. Note to all: ask for it "wet", trust me now and you'll thank me later. The pizza is as close as it comes to Chicago tavern style as I've had. The owners are fantastic and were extremely friendly. This is a true gem for true Chicago dining. The atmosphere is very welcoming and quaint. I absolutely loved it! This is a must try. Oh, and by the way, get the cannoli. FANTASTIC PLACE TO EAT!...

Everything is Authentic Chicago! Vienna Beef products. Fennel Italian sausage, Turano bread, poppy seed buns all made by genuine sweet Chicago Italians.
