Leaning Tower of Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

I placed a walk in order to go. They took my order without asking my name and asked me to sit and wait at a table. I sat there an hour... The place was empty when I came in. I watched pick up orders come and go and finally fed up I asked if they would take my number and call me when my order was ready. Well, my order was ready and was right in eye view of all the employees including the person who took my order and who originally asked me to sit down. My order was sitting there so long it was cold and soggy. I asked for a refill on my drink since I was there waiting for an hour and they didn’t even apologize for poor service or offer a free refill. I’m completely dissatisfied and disappointed. Make sure you don’t wear your mask in there because no one else is and I believe they treated me the way they did because I was wearing one. Excuse me if I care about others safety if I am sick. Update: 2023. I thought I’d give them another try. I still give them 1 star. I spent over $40. I received a flat soda. The pizza and stromboli’s were disgusting. We left the food outside for the raccoons and opossums and the coke was pored down the drain. Just like my $42...

First off, my favorite choice of food is pizza. Has been this way since I was in high school. Outside of family birthday parties for me, I have only had 2 that involved others. Both of these had pizza.

Second, I have had pizza all over the United States. Being a combat vet in the Army, I have had pizza in different parts of the world.

At the time of this review, I am almost 53 years old.

This place right here is in my Top 5 in the World. Just the right amount of tasty sauce, a great textured crust, and amazing cheese that has just the right amount of "pull" to it.

On this visit, we tried the dine-in. It did not disappoint.

Service? Superior service. This guy is in there every time we have picked up to-go orders. Quick with the refills and on point with "how ya doin'". Not overbearing, just the right amount. I got the feeling he cared about our experience.

The atmosphere inside took me on a nostalgic ride into this...

Three adults, four kids (one under 1 year)at peak time. We were new to the area, and choose this place because 1. It was nearby, 2. had decent reviews.

Staff: Very warm and welcoming! I cannot help but be concerned, when going out with a troop of young kids, but they did not seem to mind. We had a table of adults, and a table of kids. Server did extremely well with the kids!

Wait: Most likely because of the peak time, we waited an ungodly amount of time for our food. No matter where you sit, you're going to have a good view of the kitchen, and it got to the point, where I was getting anxious over every plate I saw leave the kitchen.

Food: We ordered a pepperoni pizza, a chicken salad and (I think, this was a while ago) a chicken parmesan. Personally, I thought it was OK. Nothing was terribly wrong with the food, but I've had better.

Nonetheless, we will return, but perhaps we will try some other options...
