Sabor de Minas Brazilian Bakery & Market — Restaurant in Melbourne

We visited this restaurant twice during our trip and absolutely loved everything. The meat and chicken pastéis—a popular Brazilian savory pastry, not to be confused with sweet pastries—were delicious, with perfectly seasoned fillings. The kibbeh and coxinha were also excellent. They bake their own bread, make cocada and biscoito de polvilho—all fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. On top of that, the service was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place. This is a lovely little market and food shop. The selection is a bit limited, but the items I bought were very good for a bite on the run. Conveniently located on Wickham, it was not out of the way while running errands. I splurged and had the caramel doughnut which was incredible! The ham and egg sandwich was also good, but I would have preferred it not be heated in a microwave. The taste was good but one end was hotter than the rest. Went in and had a delicious meal with my son and parents! The atmosphere was absolutely excellent. Loved how friendly it felt and welcoming to us. The food was fresh, prepared quickly, and the staff were friendly in helping us work out our order (it was my first time having this culture's food).

All-in-all? I'll be back. The food was absolutely bangin' and I'll be shopping at their little market. Such a gem so close to home.
