Very, very disappointing on many levels. Nothing had any flavor, nothing looked the slightest bit like the photos, and it took far too long for my order to be filled.
I ordered the fajita burrito online and I probably could make a better fajita burrito by simply using some fajita seasoning. The store uses really large tortillas, but they are not filled - they contain just a bit too much rice and a whole lot of empty carbs derived from the enormous wrap. I had to open it up to look for the guacamole, veggies, meat etc...because no tastes gave anything away. Both the burritos and their equally flavorless cousins the tacos came with 2 small containers of HOT salsa. I should say "HOT and HOTTER"'. I'm not a fan of hot sauce since I like to taste the actual ingredients. No other salsa options were made available.
Aside from having no taste, the peppers and onions were raw except for one tiny little red pepper piece that had a grill mark on the tippy end. The store had two people working and wasn't busy at all. I can't give them a break just because they're new to Melbourne for taking over 45 minutes to serve me a takeout order that said would be no more than 15 minutes when placed. When I walked into the store they seemed surprised that I had a takeout order number, barely acknowledged it and gave me no info at all regarding when it would be ready.
The final disappointment was a fancy laminated flyer came in the mail stating "Bring this in for $5 off your purchase of $25 or more" which I easily spent on their flavorless Monday specials for myself and my husband. When I tried to redeem it, I was told that it didn't apply to online orders, only orders placed in the store. Truly nowhere was that caveat stated on the flyer, and while the employee agreed that it wasn't stated, his whole solution was "I'll mention that to the owner".
The physical store gets 1 star because it was clean; no atmosphere to speak of, but at least clean. In summation, we buy Mexican food for the flavor, so we won't be buying...
Read moreI saw this place while visiting another restaurant I frequent (previously). Today, I went in to give them a try. Josh was super friendly when I walked in, and it was a pleasure to meet him. Now, being a Mexican man from El Paso, Tx., I'm pretty critical when it comes to tacos, and the like. My expectations were set relative to the 'fair' to 'poor' tacos I've had in the local area. I ordered 2 tacos with sopa de arroz (rice) and beans. My tacos of choice were 1x chicken and 1x ground beef. I chose the corn tortilla, because I prefer the authenticity. The flavor of each was just outstanding. I was truly impressed and the bar was raised. Now, I'm sitting here (same evening) wishing I had some more for dinner. I can't wait to try the other tacos, and get more of the chicken and beef. I have a feeling I will be a new regular there. I don't recommend too many restaurants, but for tacos -This one gets my double thumbs up. If you're ever near Publix in Melbourne, do yourself a flavor and give them a try. Maybe I'll...
Read moreSergio's Tacos was the best Tacos since I went to Mexico! You can get 3 Tacos for $17.95+tax. For 2 plates and 2 Jarritos drinks it came to $45.91 The shredded Beef was so juicy and melts in your mouth. The Chile-Laden Broth was so good, it was to die for! So delicious you would want to drink it after you ate the Tacos! The Fried Corn Tortilla were spectacular. They were crispy, but still soft and warm! They came with Oaxaca cheese and that was a great touch, made the Tacos creamy! I loved how it came with Cilantro, Onions with Lime and salsa on the side. Gave it that extra kick of love. I do wish there was Radishes on the side as well, but the Tacos were great without it! All in all the staff was super nice and very friendly. Made for a great atmosphere while eating great food! Can't wait to go back to Sergio's Tacos on Lake Washington! Thank you for such a...
