I feel compelled to express my deep concerns regarding the Burger King franchise located in Melissa, TX, an establishment that has been serving our community for the last two years.
The level of customer service at this particular location, regrettably, leaves much to be desired. There appears to be a noticeable lack of accountability within the staff. For instance, their stated closing time is 10 PM. However, if one attempts to utilize their drive-through service just 30 minutes prior to this, there's a conspicuous lack of staff presence. Instances of employees retreating to the back of the store and giving the illusion of early closure have been noted on multiple occasions.
Additionally, the daytime operations are far from satisfactory. Despite an apparent regularity in customer traffic, the drive-through service consistently fails to meet expectations. Customers, after being assured that they will be attended to 'in a moment', are often left waiting for an inordinate 10 to 15 minutes. It's baffling that such a lack of attentiveness persists when the purpose of a drive-through service is to provide efficient and prompt service to customers. Sadly, this was the exact scenario I encountered today. Stepping inside the restaurant, the environment was no better. The absence of a greeting or acknowledgment from the cashier, despite the presence of about six employees, was noticeable. What was even more disconcerting was that these employees seemed to be idling, contributing to an atmosphere of chaos and disarray, even though the establishment was not particularly busy. The scene inside clearly indicated a severe lack of order, management and professionalism.
Moreover, when I tried to address my concerns, the response from the employees was far from respectful or professional. They displayed an unpleasant attitude, even arguing about their responsibilities instead of taking accountability. The on-site manager, sadly, did not embody the leadership qualities one would expect from someone in such a role and was unreceptive to customer complaints.
Given these recurring issues, I highly recommend that both our community members and the City Council undertake a comprehensive review of our retail property space use. With the plethora of fast food chains already in our vicinity, it's paramount that establishments like Burger King uphold high standards of service. Read moreI haven't been to this Burger King in a while, but I can tell it has gone downhill since the last time I've been there. I gave 2 stars for atmosphere simply because the place was semi clean. I ordered two burgers with fries and a drink. When they put it on the counter for pick up the fries were cold. So, it took a while for someone actually to come back, but I had put my hand on them to check the temperature and also ate a couple of each of the two boxes of fries. A guy came up and put my tray in the warmer area where they bag up the food and proceeded to make new fries. As I'm watching the lady there, which I'm assuming was some sort of manager took my 2 cold fries and put them on the next person's order. Yuk!!! This same lady upsold me by making my order a medium instead of the small size (without asking) that comes with the meal deal listed on the menu. for my second order I asked what came with the $5 trio and she gave me some options with I choice from and she charged me for the $7 trio. I replied that I had a large order and was missing 3 combos and drinks. After finally getting all my food I realized I was missing ranch that I had specifically asked for. Instead of getting back in the long drive thru line, I thought I would knock on the main door and someone could hand me the ranch. I was completely ignored after 5 minutes of knocking. I then tried to call the restaurant but could not find a direct number. So, no ranch for me. But I guess I should be lucky that missing ranch was the only issue this time.
