Restaurant Review: A Himalyan Gem of Authentic Flavors
Tucked away in an unassuming corner of town, Melissa is a small, unpretentious spot that delivers an extraordinary dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of spices that promises an authentic culinary adventure. Though the space is cozy, it’s filled with the vibrant energy of a place that takes immense pride in its food.
The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the Lamb Vindaloo. This dish is a revelation—perfectly tender lamb that melts in your mouth, simmered in a rich, fiery sauce that strikes an impeccable balance between heat and flavor. The vindaloo sauce is a masterful blend of spices, with a depth and complexity that speaks to the chef’s skill and dedication to authenticity. Every bite is a burst of intense flavor, with the spices dancing on your palate without overwhelming it.
Beyond the vindaloo, the rest of the menu offers a delightful array of dishes, each prepared with the same attention to detail and respect for traditional recipes. The naan is fluffy and warm, perfect for sopping up every last bit of the vindaloo sauce, while the samosas are crisp and filled with a flavorful mixture that’s simply irresistible.
Service at this gem is as authentic as the food. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they serve. They’re more than happy to guide you through the menu and make recommendations based on your preferences.
In a world full of flashy, trendy dining spots, this hub stands out as a reminder that sometimes, the most amazing meals can be found in the most unexpected places. If you’re in search of a true taste of authentic cuisine, look no further—this little restaurant is a true gem, and its Lamb Vindaloo is not...

5/5 Stars
"I recently dined at Himalayan Hub Restaurant in Melissa and was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful, but not spicy, which was perfect for my taste buds. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.
The service was good, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was inviting .
I tried the chicken momos, which were tender and juicy, the butter chicken , which was rich and creamy, mildly spiced but not sweet . Tandoori chicken which was just the way I like it succulent and flavourful , loved the chutney . All the dishes were expertly prepared and presented. I also appreciated the variety of options on the menu, including vegetarian and vegan choices.
My lil one was offered a kids platter consisting of chicken nuggets and fries with compliments by Mr.Kiran .
Thank you Mr.Kiran for starting up here in Melissa, it’s bin a while since I came across good desi food!

Overall, I highly recommend Himalayan Hub. Can't wait to go back and try...
Read moreThe owner is a genuinely nice person. He is very focused on providing customers with a wonderful experience all around. When I went to order my first time, they did not have the ability to take credit cards over the phone. I had a friend who would drive in and pick up my food on the way here. A tiny detour. It would be more inconvenient having him drive all the way to my home and then another 20 minutes to his restaurant and back here again. Within 1 week, when I was going to have another friend pay cash and pick up my order, I have found out they resolved the issue. Now they are able to take payments over the phone for your order pick up.
To add, I've been to many Indian restaurants from Plano, Richardson and McKinney. This place actually is the best of all the places I've eaten at. Their personality, the atmosphere inside and the way they treat their customers is phenomenal. If you like indian, get your butt there! They are open Tuesday...
